• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone come up with a Ryker Frunk Lock?

I would recommend removing the frunk lid completely, much easier to work with and less of a chance of screwing up the hinge.

Installed my frunk lock from Amazon today, came out great!

I just realized from looking at that video I put my handle on facing forward, opposite than in the video.

But it seems more natural to grab it that way so going to leave it.

Also got the Amazon one - will install it coming week-end
I agree with Jimmy that handle should be facing forward - thanks for the feedback

I imagine that the reason for putting the handle on the other way is to make it more aerodynamic or so that flying bugs or debris doesn't get hung up on it. Just a thought, even though it seems more logical to put the handle forward so that it would be a natural way to open the door.

you have to use a key every time you want in the frunk of the spyder. so whats the difference.

Also on the ryker you have the areas on the side where I can just pull up on the frunk cover. no need to add a spring etc....

I like the option of being able to lock it or not lock it. With that flush mount lock, you will need to lock it every time or else it will be flapping up and down when going over bumps.

Amazon lock is exactly what I was looking for. I used the video from slingmods and guesstimated. Works perfectly!

Same here. I made it 1.5 inches from the edge per someones suggestion here, then mounted the angle bracket on the inverse angled section inside the trunk with the edge of it just touching the transition line between the angled and the vertical wall of the trunk. (if that makes sense) O.o

Looks like it unlocks whenever the USB is getting power since it plugs into the harness right there. I'd rather have something like that instead of having yet another key.
