• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best Spyder dealers in Illinois

Best Dealers in Illinois

My wife and I are doing research for a Spyder RT and we wondered if there are any dealers in Illinois (and even surrounding area, we aren't afraid to drive) who are good, bad or exceptional to deal with. We're getting to be like a couple of little kids at Christmas time! :)

The dealer we go to for bikes and service is World of Powersports in Decatur, IL. Good services, knowledgeable staff and bought two Spyder RTs there. We have been very happy with service. They have the best Can Am tech around mid-Illinois.

I highly DON'T recommend iMotorsports! Worst service experience ever! Nothing but a puppy-mill. They can't even identify a toe-out condition! Said our brake pads were fine, just replaced. Bought pads myself to compare with what came on the bike. BIG difference .... told them I found a loose ground wire OVER THE PHONE....made me wait 2 hours in the shop to fix it AFTER they told me it was ready ! Damaged our bike when they strapped it to their trailer for transport to their shop. I pointed it out and they said,"it was like that when we got it"...yeah, because their transport guy did the damage in my driveway ! Stay away from these guys! They promised us a "detail" . Grease @ scratches all over the bike. They let it sit outside and water spots and splotches of "who knows what" all over bike. Not a REAL dealer....just a bike-flipping operation. They don't even have the equipment to do an alignment.

IL Dealer

I got mine from powersports HQ in Charleston IL. They are a new dealer only open two years but I had positive sales and service from them. I did not care for world of powersports. Lots of high pressure sales and lots of add on fees. Others may have had different experience, but the price they quoted me on the phone was very different from the sales invoice. Needless to say I left.

Have had nothing but good sales and service from Powersports HQ. 217-345-5554

Just got a letter from the DOT...they want a police officer to inspect our vehicle due to some VIN/registration abnormality. Called iMotorsports to inform them of the issue. This outta be good.....!

Thanks for the replies so far, all are within driving distance for a Spyder! After all, we've driven to Sikeston to eat rolls that they throw at you!:) We have World of Powersports as the closest dealer to us. Anyone have any dealings with them?
Been to Sikeston Roll throwing restaurant many times, love the place,
Go my RT from IMoterSport

Ok you have to go to the best in the Midwest. #1 is Cowtown US, in Cuba Mo.

Brian is the best salesman,we have bought 2 Spyders from him. DJ is the service manger and they employ a master technician who works on the bikes.

Very reasonable on parts and service. They've always been very accommodating to our needs and time.

Why would we leave the Metro StL area to buy? Simple: knowledge and respect. All the dealers here in St. Louis had no real knowledge of the Spyders, you could tell they just wanted to sell you a bike. Brian takes the time and answers all questions (was very helpful when buying the first Sypder)

We ride the 90 miles for all services at Cowtown because they are reasonable and trustworthy. None of the StL area dealers have a CanAm master technician. Our first service at Cowtown was $125 on the ST-S and in StL it would have been $345. (and done by a mechanic that works on every thing and doesn't specialize on just Spyders)
