• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Codes

Just went to back my RT into the garage and as soon as I got stopped it went nuts again. This time it posted 2 codes, P1120 and P2620, can any one tell me what this means?

Thanks

P1120 - Wrong Throttle Accelerator Sensor (TAS) position. Wrong TAS sensor position. Both TAS position failed test.

P2620 - Throttle Accelerator Sensor (TAS) position. Wrong TAS sensor position.

P2620 - Improper or missing Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on CAN. Damaged circuit wires, damaged ECU, or damaged TCM/ECU pins.

This is more likely a throttle adjustment (TAS) problem, but could be an indicator of a wiring or connector issue, or even a bad ECM.

Just let them read the codes, duplicate it for them if you can, and let them look into the cause. They can contact BRP dealer tech support if they get stumped. In my experience, telling a tech what you think is wrong, rather than just the symptoms (including any fault codes you have read), just interferes with the process sometimes.

If I told them what I think is wrong with the bike I would be escorted out, lol. I am trying my hardest to deal with this nicely but it is a major cost to me to have to rent a trialer again and tow it 45 miles to the dealer. Give me courage to hold of on suicide, lol.

I'd probably try to make them feel terrible, and pick it up out of guilt...LOL. That should give some satisfaction, too...deterring the suicide. Hang in there, I'm sure this glitch can be resolved. I would suggest to them that they take a long test ride after they work on it again...or plan to do so yourself, before you come all the way home.

Thanks for the pep talk, lol... The last time they replaced the throttle actuator and controls was about 500 miles ago so (about 1 month ago). After that I had to bring it in due to rough idle when cold (O2 Sensor and kinked hose) and battery going dead (radio problem). The day I picked it up late last June it ran fine for a week before it went ballistic and shut down due to loose ground. Following that it was rough idle and stallng (software update). Well keeping my fingers crossed this is the last of the problems, hauling the thing to the dealer is a royal pain, lol..
