There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Continuing my search for comfort

I looked at both the Kewl metal and Custom Dynamic risers, and though the adjustability of the Kewl metal is nice, they look very bulky. I installed the Custom dynamic bars and it still feels like I am leaning forward more than I'd like. Does the Kewl Metal help at all?

I also am looking at the adjustable floor boards from Custom dynamics, and wondered if anyone has them and if they help with the "knee bend" discomfort at all? Were they difficult to install? Finally, do you feel there are any braking issues if using them?

Thanks for all of the support, as I continue to enjoy the RS, albeit with a number of hopefully solvable issues.

Again perhaps I should have bought the RT to begin with, but at this point my wife would kill me, and between what I would lose on the two week old RS, and the price difference of the new one I would have to come up with an additional 10K or so.

Spyder Comfort

Hello, These adjustable risers are the newest on the market and every body that have them love em.

This is what I have on my Spyder with the 5" bars and I like them. I also have the 1" BRP riser on mine and still was able to use the stock cables.
You could go with a 9" bar but would have to change the cables to reach.

These floorboards and accessories would allow you to straighten your knees and Billy Joe is great to work with.

Hope this helps, Regards Dennis

Looks good but

The floorboards and brake extension would work well I think but not sure about paying over $1000.00 for them

The risers you mention probably would work, but the picture does not make them look aesthetically appealing

There are much cheaper floorboards but they dont seem to sell any brake extensions with them and part of my hesitation is not being able to quickly move from the board back to the pedal if I had to in an emergency.

Thanks for all of your great information

It's not too difficult just take a little time and patience. The key is having the right tools. The bolts holding the console which covers the bars are on the under side and you will need a 1/4 ratchet with a short extension. I believe there are 4 bolts with two different size heads. I can't remember the exact size at the moment but if you order the console and bars they should come with good instructions. Otherwise there have been several post on this subject and you can do a search to find them.
As far as the floor boards and brakes are concerned, I just ordered the Highway Pegs & Risers with Bracket Assemblies along with the Hand Brake System from ISCI. My knees also have been aching and the highway pegs will allow me to move to a different position, away from the foot brake thus the hand brake option. The prices are premium and so is the product and customer service. I placed my order on Wednesday of this week and Billy Joe told me that the items I wanted were in stock and would be shipped on Thursday so I expect them to arrive early next week. These guys are very professional and friendly. On Saturday I received a Thank You card with a hand written note from Billy Joe.
You will always be happy if you buy the best. :2thumbs:
After all you bought a Spyder. Regards Dennis

I thought you had their adjustable ones, how difficult was it to mount the ones you have?

SFB Racing boards

I Like the looks of the boards from SFB www.sfbracing.net but the right foot is out and below the brake pedal. I'm thinking that it might be about the same as the movement you need to make when stopping a car. Maybe some one here has them and can give some real world impressions. I'm still debating the options.:dontknow:

Docdoru has these. I'm thinking of getting them also.

Hi, just thought I would give my two-cents worth. I have the 1" riser and then added the NoMagicNeon 3" risers to my handlebars last year. I was still leaning and reaching forward with this additional 4". However, last fall I bought the 7" Kewlmetal handlebars and spiderweb center console. Love, love, love the new handlebars. I am able to sit upright with them but they don't solve the bent leg discomfort. I was able to have it installed and still use the stock cables. Even the local Spyder dealership liked the new look.

Just for $h!ts and giggles, I thought I'd try something. Can anybody do this with there floorboards. Thats the weight of the spyder held up with ISCI floorboards. Billy that would be nice on your site.

My husband just installed KewlMetal's adjustable risers and they are great! I am finally no longer leaning forward. I was using BRP 1" riser and KewlMetal's 5" bars. They helped a lot, but the adjustable bars are even better and allow me to find the position I am most comfortable in. I also think they look fine on the Spyder.

:2thumbs: I have the floorboards from Sfbracing I have had them for about 500 kms I love them and raising your foot to brake is no problem

There are several ways to skin the riser issue.

I chose the HeliBar riser which moves the bar nearly enough for me. It leaves the Spyder looking more like stock than not.

The new Kewl Metal riser clearly is the new and fast rising kid on the block. It offers several ways to customize the position and is clearly the most flexible choice to satisfy the most folks. I personally do not like the look it creates -- but, I suspect that if I had the choice to make now I might go this route.

Billy definitely needs to post those pictures on his web site. That is very impressive.
