• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Elio Motors is spiralling down......

Sadly....

But then the old saying does apply here....if it is to good to be true.....:gaah: gonna be some fallout on this one....

I have put on the Consumer Advocate hat many times when this subject came up. I was on the "it will never be built" side of the fence--for those that don't remember--or care. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

There was an article about a week ago that talked about the company's cash flow. I believe I neglected to even mention that one. Less than $100K in their accounts. That wont even pay Paul's paycheck next go around.

Based on the article above, it does indeed sound as though the death knell for the Elio is going to finally come. About time IMO.

Not saying it yet, but the I told you so may be coming very soon. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Aw come on, everyone lighten up. As the article stated they only need $375 million to get over the crest and through the research stage. :roflblack: We could all put off one Farkle, donate the money to them and get this thing going. Shoot, if we send Mike (Blueknight) down there he could figure out how to put those things together a lot cheaper than some over-educated MIT graduate.

 I don't mean to make you feel bad...
But that Tee-Shirt is certainly a conversation-starter, and could have some collectible value!

They were a scam from day one.
Want to get in on something really cool.... Tesla is gonna rock the auto industry.

i would have to say yes. At a selling price of $6800 there was no way a profit could have been realized. I would estimate $20-24k would have been a reasonable figure and perhaps at that MSRP a profit may have happened if the big three didn't pounce as soon as production commenced. Many jumped in thinking they would have this cheap cool thing but the numbers just made no sense.

Don't count on the collectible value. Remember those Premier Editions? :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

While the Model 3 will travel farther than ANY production Elio ever will: 216 miles is still not all that great...
But give them some time, and they'll sort it all out!

and the tesla 3 came out last week. so now you have an electric car that goes a lot further then a gas one ever will

Huh? My gas car will go forever until I run out of gas stations or road. Takes me less than 5 minutes to refuel. Can't say that for any electric car yet though battery exchange stations will solve that issue.
