• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Got my Bajaron sway bar to stay centered.

I had the bike apart to wrap the exhaust pipes (another thread) and found the bar slid left again as far as it could. Not sure why it moves but it won't now! Got a set of 5/8 split collars and machined them out to fit the bar. Found that they just fit at the out side edges and should not cause any problems that I can see, but the bar can't slide now!

Curious..!!

why the bars for your model doesn't come with the collers. Previous bars all came with them. Looks good hope they workout and if they do maybe others can do this as well...

They do..!!

all models prior to they 13's use the collers to hold the bar centered. BajaRon bars all come with them up through the 12's. The bar for the 13's did not. You would have to check with Ron as to why. I believe he said if tightened properly they were not needed...:dontknow:

I checked mine several times for tightness and was afraid if I snugged it up anymore it would crush the plastic blocks, but mine would always go left? The factory bar has dimples stamped in it to keep it centered between the blocks.

If BajaRon has the collars to fit the other bars, perhaps he can make them available to 13 owners that purchased his bar. I would like to add a set of these as my bar too goes to the left side and the blocks are very tight. Tight enough I cannot move the bar by hand. Too tight really. If the bar does not have provisions to stay centered, then it seems the collars are needed.

Sure is funny that alot of people are having issues with getting the correct tightnes on the bar to keep it centered and to stop the side to side popping. I tightened mine up several times on my 2013 RT Limited and after a while the blocks will start popping inside the frame. When I emailed Ron about the blocks moving and making the popping noise he told me to tighten more and shouldnt have an issue. When I replied and made a general statement that others may be having the same issues with the popping sound and not getting the right tightnes he did not seem happy. Stated that he doubts anyone else is having the issue or he would have heard about it. I kinda took offense to his response since I am a very knowledgeable person and very capable of working on my bike. Well seems like alot of threads now on people having the same issues as me. He did state he was working on a fix so people could easily get the correct tightnes to keep the blocks in place inside that frame channel.

I do not know when you talked to him but I had the same issues a couple of months ago. At the time he (and I ) thought the bar was self centering. I had him on the phone listening to the pop. I was the one who discovered the pop was due to the bushing not being tight enough you can touch it when rocking the bike let to right and left and feel a slight movement on the bushing. I kept tightening it and realigning it 1/2 turn at a time until I have no more popping and for a long while no movement (500mi.) Ron's suggestion to me was to put tie wraps on both sides to measure any movement. My initial movement was always to the right Well the recent posts caused me to go take a look see and her is what I found on the left side.

Obviously I have had some movement because the tie wraps were tight to the bushings when first installed I still have no more popping so the bushings are tight. So Ron it looks like there may be a slight issue. It has not moved enough to cause the links to touch the upper pocket. Another observation I had on the OEM bar& links was the links both deflected outward almost if not actually touching the upper mount pocket. I guess we need Ron to step in and give us some advice.

Although a good stop gap I can see where your collar will rub on the frame removing the paint and causing rust. A smaller diameter one would be perfect

The collars can not touch the frame, I machined a small step in the back side so the collars are pushed against the white block. There is about .030 clearance to the frame. See the groove in the picture, I cut the outside portion off by .030. I did this for fear of squeaks though not rust. A smaller collar would be great and even better STAINLESS!

I got a reply from Ron and he said there are a few reported instances of this happening and he is working on something to solve it. I am sure he will post when he gets it done. Mine never went left it was always right. 3 Wheel good job on your mod
