• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a Code Reader for the Spyder?

I have the adapter cable and it connects just fine, you just can't read the BRP codes, but it can obtain plenty of info from the ECU. I am using a bluetooth dongle and Torque Lite to connect.

What reader are you using. I just received an Ancel AD530 Pro from Amazon. I've never plugged a reader into the Spyder before. Is there any risk to plugging the AD530 Pro? Should I plug it in before or after I turn on Accessory power? I have the cable mentioned above. This reader can also upload it's data to Windows.

How do you post multiple pictures on a page? I bought a new scan tool and wanted to post pictures of the menus and results on one post.
With the new site software I have to do a resize (less than 1mb) of pics first to get it to upload, so I make a folder with group of the photos that I want to upload, click the attach files button below the dialog box, use ctrl+click to select multiple photos, and hit open. Make sure the cursor is at the spot where you want to insert the pics on your post. Then on each of the files that are uploaded click insert and then choose thumbnail.

I just have a generic bluetooth reader made by BAFX Products. I bought it off of amazon for $15 back in 2012-2013 for my truck to reset the check engine light every time they switch between summer/winter mixes of gas at the station. My truck doesn't like the change and complains about it for the first couple of weeks after the switch over.

I usually connect with it powered off, then start the Spyder up after connecting the cable. I don't like leaving it in for too long though. Even though it has not happened to me yet, I have heard some stories about people with some of the cheaper models that have been known to fry ECU/ECM's on their vehicle.
