• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mud Flap??

Anyone have some suggestions on a good mud flap for the rear tire on the RTS? After a wet ride yesterday, the back of the :spyder2: and mama were covered in mud, sand, etc. :gaah:

:agree:I had the same mess after a ride last weekend. My passenger's jacket and helmet were pretty dirty.:cus: Not saying much for comfort on a long trip. Hopefully someone has a solution for us.

mud flap

If you can find a truck stop or someone who supplies them for the rigs, Get a standard mud flap, not the plastic ones. You want the hard black rubber ones. I paid around $12 for one. I was able to cut two mud flaps out of the one big mud flap. The dementions are 9 1/4 wide, length 22 Inches long. You might want yours longer if you don't pull a trailer. Mine fits below the hitch frame, just below the hitch mud flap. You can cut this with a heavy duty razor knife. Its easier if you make a templet out of cardboard first.you'll need 2[ 1 1/2" bolts wesher and 2 lock nuts ]. Take your tage off to drill the holes, then drill two holes inside the area that the tag covers. that way you don't see the bolt heads, thighten your tag back on. I hope this helps. jc

Thanks JG. Actually one of my clients is an Iowa 80 truck stop on I95. I think I'll check into that on my visit to them this month.

:agree:
(And here I was just going to mention that the Inspector had put together a nice set of pics about the one that he installed... Good memory!)

No matter what you do you will have back wash in the rain. yes you can elimate some of it but not all. The worst i've been in is mud on the road from logging trucks. Talking about a mess :gaah: That part of riding, maybe not a good thing, but thats life if you are riding a bike or :spyder2:

That's all I expect to do is cut it down. We ran into wet muddy roads from construction Saturday. Still haven't gotten it all off the wifes vest. Need to wash the :spyder: too. That and her SS Impala, my Silverado and my work van.:gaah:
