I have a 2012 RTS and had my 600 mile and 3000 mile service done at the same dealership. I took my bike today for them to do my 3000 mile service and which normally takes maybe 1 - 1 1/2 hour to complete took them 2 1/2 hours. It took them that long because the tech the did the 600 mile service over torqued my drain plug and they could get my drain plug out. They had to take, i guess, vise grips or some other clamping tool to get the plug out. They showed me the plug and it was all chewed up around the exposed edges. They charged me for the new drain plug and a copper washer. I told them I didn't think I should be charged for the drain plug and washer since they changed the oil during my 600 mile service and the tech at that time over torqued the plug. Your thoughts??????? Well when I got home I checked the oil level and guess what, the oil didn't even registor on the dip stick:yikes: May be time to find another dealership!! I called the dealership to complain and they said someone would call me back tomorrow. We'll see if that happens..
