• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio Stations

having trouble setting radio stations, can anyone help me. Station goes by the one that I want:yes:

Do you have an iPod plugged into the trunk? When on the Skyline ride a couple people said they had reception problems with their iPod plugged in. Each had 3G iPods. I have an old iPod classic from about 2005 or so and do not have that problem, I can also use shuffle while they can't.

Also apparently the reception just isn't all that strong. I haven't had any problems yet while outside however even being in a carport made the signal very weak. So, try it with outside without your iPod hooked up.

The stereo's functionality could use some improvements... :gaah:
If the station that you're trying to access is strong enough; you can use the scan function to get to it...
(I'm no expert, and I've got the stereo presets to prove it!)

Do you have the factory antenna, or did you replace it with a shorty? I still have the factory one, and can pick up stations almost as good as my cars. If you haven't replaced the antenna, you may want to check the connections between the antenna and the radio. You'll need to pull the right speaker / armrest, and also the right side passenger handgrip cover panel. The radio is right under there. Maybe something came loose...:dontknow:

Dave's right. If you are in an area of marginal reception, then the Shortees will often not work as well...
(Happened to me)

I had my radio and antenna replace under warranty last year due to the old one dragging down my battery while turned off. Before that I could get only a few am stations and they broke up as I drove and a few more FM's that were clear. I now get great am and fm reception, clear and plenty to choose from. The new radio was a 2012 version so they had address the issue in the redesign. As far as how to manualy select a station I have no idea, I have to hold the button down and allow the radio to pick the next station. It does not seem to allow you to "tune in a station" as we did in the good old days, lol.

You may need to check with region your radio is set to - For USA/Canada its Region A

On my RT -S - SE5 - 2010 Model - I could not get the radio to tune to some of the FM Radio Stations

when tuning the system seemed to skip pass some of them - One of them being my Local FM
Station

I found out my Radio has selected Regions and it had Region A Selected –
This is for the US (and Canada?), and selects the odd numbered frequencies.

Region "B" is Europe (and the UK?) and selects the even numbered frequencies.

If you need to change yours this is what I did

Went into the Preference screen and changed Region from A to B- Switch Ign off -When you switch it back on Region B is then selected

You would just have to select region A if its not selected

Anyone know if the latest Spyders RT Have upgraded Radio as mine keeps re-setting back to Region A

I ams still waiting to hear back regarding the random resetting of the radio custom settings. I suspect this one is going to be ignored as it has been complained about for years and they still keep acting like its new to them.
