• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Wiring Harness Part Number required

I have had the Zumo 660 fitted to my 2010 Spyder RT - S

I have found there was some buzzing from the MP3 Player on the ZUMO on to the Spyders speakers
This may be because both the Zumo and the Spyder is powered from the bike

Essentially if both devices are powered from your bike.
A ground loop can exist that will cause humm, static, or some other interference in your audio signal. A ground isolating cable eliminates that interference.

I understand this problem is called an earth loop and can be solved by using an isolated music lead
I will get one from Autocom and try it

I tried the Isolated cable and this did reduce the Buzz but I was also getting intermitten audio (keeps cutting out)
the Zumo was fine on Bluetooth with no loss of audio signal

Having checked the system I believe the fault lies with the RT Wiring Harness used to connect the Zumo into the existing
Audio system (Multi Plug with the 3.5mm stereo plug which fits into Zumo 3.5mm socket)
This appears to be Shorting out at the Multi Plug end where all the wires combine This is sealed and cannot be fixed

I want to order a new Harness but can only locate it in the 2011 Parts, Accessories and Riding gear catalogue as part of the
GPS SUPPORT AND HARNESS kit Page 37

I don't need the full kit e.g. Bracket, Rubber boot etc Just the harness

Anyone know the Part number so I can order one as a replacement

Any Information useful

Here is the GPS Harness - BRP Part# 710002182...

I just purchased one and installed my Road Tech Zumo 660. It also has the buzz that you described. I thought it maybe in the connection in the 3.5 mm...but I have not had a lot of time to mess with it.

I wanted the whole GPS mount kit, but it is on back order...

When it was installed on my Harley, I don't remember it having the buzz, and was connected to directly to the hds battery and to the aux port on the radio.

I have turned the bluetooth off, but have not checked to see if the fm transmitter is off...
