Do I need to do a Spring oil change if I did on in Fall before Winter storage?

I did a oil change early Fall, used the BRP kit with filter and synthetic blend, drove approx 500km before putting it in winter storage, garaged temp generally above freezing but not heated.

Flash forward 5 months and I am getting the bike ready for Spring, first ride is still a few weeks away, still snow on the ground and temps are only a degree or two above freezing.

Question is, do I need to do a spring oil change? Synthetic blend sitting for 6 mo this but only 500km of wear? I have a full synthetic oil kit but was wondering if I could save the $100 if not necessary to do Spring oil change.

Same opinion as Knizar. I changed mine roughly the same amount or maybe a bit less in the Fall before I packed it up for the Winter. Also did the brake fluid. I actually change all my oils in the Fall so that everything's ready to go come Spring, on the wood splitter ZT, mower...
My theory is to get rid of all the accumulated acids and crap so it's not setting in the sump all Winter.

Thanks for confirming since I don’t do 10k a year I will probably change the oil and service in the Fall so it it’s ready for the Spring with little to no maintenance needed to get it on the road next year. And it makes sense to get fresh oil in the motor in the Fall so the contaminants built up over a Summer of riding are not sitting there for the whole Winter.

Change according to factory-recommended changes. I, however, use Amsoil and send samples in for testing and evaluation. I changed at 10k, and I'm considering going to 12K depending on the results of my next sample. No matter what oil you use, your spyder tranny is going to shear it down within 2k miles. It's the contamination levels you want to pay close attention to. Don't get too anal about it, or it'll drive you crazy.
