• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spyder edition numbers

We don't want to get Roaddog fired up over this again but.... :D

Closer to 4,000 actually. BRP really screwed up the PE numbering when they made around 500 dealer and company demos (non-sellable units?) with PE numbers, plus they mistakingly let out a batch of North American PE Spyders to Australia. That bumped the PE numbers up by about 1,000. I think the actual, original, personally owned PE group totals around 2,800 even though the numbers go up to 3,800'ish.
I'll be fired up forever on this one :joke:

I noticed that the PE number on my spyder is last 4 digits of the Spyder serial number.

I wonder if that was just a fluke or a reality for all spyders?

please excuse my ignorance. where is the serial number found? Is it the vin?

I dont have the PE stickers on my handle bars but I do have low number on my vin... was curious about that.

The VIN# should appear on your title, registration, and on the data plate on the front right side of the swingarm. There are several different model designations for the Spyders, each with a submodel suffix (A18H, etc.) A18 would be the model here, with H the production run. The model designation appears in the VIN#, prior to the sequential number itself. As a result, you can have a low sequential number if you have a Spyder built toward the beginning of a new model run, or subrun.

Yea, what he said. Each new model year will restart the last four numbers of the VIN.
