What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Looked at the Washington Spyder sitting under it's cover and promised it at least one more ride before putting away and heading to Arizona for the winter to play with it's twin. I believe they are not considered identical twins as the Arizona one started life as a dark model (and has gone through some chrome conversion changes) and the Washington one was born as a chrome model. Based on color, they are both male. The Champaign one I had was female for sure.

Yep, it's a rat! I want to borrow/hire that dog for a couple of days work in my back yard (and maybe a quick run thru the yard behind that too?! )

First Friday back from my trip, so a quick run to the Rock Store for lunch, then head to the beach and Neptune's Net for desert and some reading. Good to see the staff and regulars again and catch up with what I missed while I was gone.

Dusted off the seat. I sat on my Spyder
and enjoyed the moments of pain free 'virtual wind therapy'.

My lower back is giving me some pain.
I am scheduled to go to my doctor very soon.

Rode to Sleeping Bear Dunes in Northwest Michigan yesterday.
Also used BRP Go for navigation along with the Garmin for a backup. BRP Go worked perfectly for the first time ever with waypoints from A-P. About 80 miles of riding the back roads with multiple turns.

I think I have found that if I open the BRP GO app and start the ride, then connect my phone via the USB cable, then start the Spyder, it seems to connect and stay connected consistently.

But if I start the Spyder first, then connect my phone, it seems to be hit or miss at staying connected all the time.

Looks like a nice ride.

It was. The weather was perfect in the morning at 68°F when we left. I've never been this far North in Michigan before. Heading to the Eastern side of Michigan next week. Hopefully, I can get some more riding in. I'm going to have to start heading South soon, before the snow flies up here! lol!!

Man I really miss Neptune's Net. Used to ride down there for lunch when I was stationed at NAS Pt Mugu in the mid 80's.

It's supposed to be super hot here again next week. So I took the F3L Special Series for about a 25 mile jog around the neighborhood. I noticed that even though it’s a 2016, it has 5k miles fewer than my 2021 RTL (19k vs 24k).

Today? I reinstalled my Baker air wings after having 3 Elka shocks installed yesterday. Look out twisties, here I come! LOL

Took a 2-hour ride on Saturday. The new left multi-module works well. The new RDL seat was comfortable too. I still have to break it in though. I haven't done much riding this year, but I'll be doing a lot more now. The moose are on the loose and the wife wants to see one, so we'll be running the roads in search of Bullwinkle.

Remember, don't feed the animals. They sometimes do terrible things to people who try to get too close.

Best to look at most 'wild' things in a safe environment.

Just saying about that.

Miss those places, wife and I met in Oxnard where we both went to high school, we lived there for most of the next 40 years before moving to Tennessee.

Part of finishing up my cross country tour in June took me through Maine. For the entire time that I was there, people continued to tell us to look out for moose. We traveled a lot of 2 lane roads, and never saw one. Glad one didn't run out in the road in front of us, but I was a little disappointed in not seeing one at all. I guess I will have to settle for seeing the elk in Cherokee in a couple of weeks.

They're reporting seeing them in Queensbury, NY on Airport road, but the problem is, it's early in the morning when people are heading to work. Not exactly a good time to go moose watching. Lots of traffic. But, we have our hopes up that we'll see one near Sacandaga Lake.
