• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Over the weekend I tried the OEM backrest because the wife's '22 RT has one and on her bike and it's really comfortable. I originally had the Utopia backrest but with my OCD, I just had to try it out. Found out the Utopia, for me, is way better for my setup so I reinstalled it yesterday.

We have different machines, but on my 2022 F3S I have the BRP backrest, and I wouldn't be able to ride more than 5 miles before getting a back ache without it. I'm still licking my wounds from the purchase & totally ridiculous price BRP wants for them. Should be criminal.

As some of you know, the fender sequential LED turn signals for pre 2020's have issues and there are no parts available. Both of my long curved amber lights on top of the fenders had LEDs out and LEDs flickering. So today I took the fender tophat off and disconnect the running light lead, which is the blue wire fed by the red wire on the source side of the three pin white connector. You can unplug the connector, and push the silver tab in and just pull the blue wire out of the connector. I put a piece of heat shrink on it. So the amber light is just a reflector! Well, sort of just a reflector.

Now the good part of this, the sequential function still works with the turn signals or 4 way flashers.

I had a feeling this was going to be the result!

As a note: You just have to remove the three six point socket drive screws at the front (1) and rear (2) end of the tophat, and the two torx screws that are not the fender mount screws.

I took the OEM belt tensioner off the F3S. Per the parts diagrams it looks like the factory started installing them in '19. I rode about 30 miles at varying speeds, got up to 85 for a stretch a couple of times and never felt any troublesome vibration. I think I'll be fine without it. One less worry.

Had paint protection film applied on the frunk cover for rock and finger damage from closing, and on both left and right side covers where I was nervous of my leg eventually wearing the paint. Haven't picked it up yet, hoping it looks alright.
**edit**
Just picked it up, they did an amazing job, very impressed.

I want to take a ride up to Cassville Wisconsin and take the ferry to Iowa, haven't got around to it yet, but it'll be a nice ride up, there's a lot of cool curvy roads.👍
Hi Spyderladyf3t,

I hope you get a chance to take a ride up to Cassville, Wisconsin and take the ferry to Iowa. Sounds like fun. I ride my spyder when I get a chance. Life keeps getting in the way!
