I spoke to my local Can Am dealer (1/2 hour from my home) (They never got the license to sell Spyders although they want to. They were told that BRP did not want dealerships to close to each other) asking if they could work on my Spyders (2011 & 2012 RT Limiteds) to save me a 2 hour drive to have warranty work done. Although they can work on them they can not do warranty work. In the course of our conversation I told them about Spyderlover.com and some of the issues covering alot of the different Spyder models and how some of the problems were directly attributed to improper dealer set ups. They said that it was fairly common for them to sell brand new BRP sleds and not have the assembly or maintenance manual sent from BRP 9 to 12 months after they were out on the trails. Thus frustrating their mechanics who would like to have them to study before setting up their first assemblies. I wonder if our beloved Spyders suffer from this same level of incompetence/ lack of foreknowledge that the dealers have to deal with thus creating some assembly issues because the manuals are not sent to help them out. Just Asking!!
