I am having a problem locking my wheels. I turned the key 1/4 counter clockwise, but my key will not come out, and the wheel will not lock. Any suggestions? :helpsmilie:

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Turn your handlebar all the way to the left or right...then turn your key to the left (CCW) 90 degrees to lock the mechanism...only then can you remove the key.
The wheel doesn't lock straight...
Give it a try...it will work for you...

Don't know what I am doing wrong but my wheels will not lock. I turned the wheel hard left. Then turn the key CC 1/4 to locking symbol. The wheels do not lock and the key does not come out.
Also whenever I brake I hear a squeaking sound. The bike is two weeks old. Lastly I purchased the bike almost two hours from my home. If I am having a problem with the wheel locking system should I take it back to them or can I take it to a closer dealer since it is under warranty?
Which wind shield is better CHAD vs BRP touring?

Are you turning the handlebars as far left or right as possible and holding them there while turning the key?

Never be sorry for asking good questions...
First of all, your steering lock should work...no reason for it not to...remember to keep your key in the ignition, turn the wheel ALL the way left or right, hold it there, then turn the key counterclockwise 90 degrees...at this point, it should click nicely and be able to be removed...try again...this is a mechanical lock...it should work...wiggle the handlebars a bit, if necessary...
As far as windshields go...I'd like to say the brp is better but EVERYONE loves the CHAD...for me, this means I'll get one come fall time...you can't go wrong with the CHAD and dealing with EVAN (NMN/ESI) is always a good experience.

the squeek is the back brake clean it or when you ride put your foot on brake heat them up it should go away or let dealer agust them its free ..turn the wheels to the left as fare as you can then turn the key it should go easy to lock then pull out key try to move handle bars a little till it locks or have dealer fix it too.........:agree: and:congrats

No, the wheel does not work. I did what every one suggested but still unable to lock the wheel and pull out the key. So I called the dealer where I purchased the bike. The sales person thinks the 1" riser may be the culprit. He thought they installed the new brp 1" riser which should allow wheel locking. Has anyone heard of this problem? He said he would get back to me and let me know which riser they actually installed.
Also, I just received my double and triple play lights. Are they hard to install? I am not mechanically inclined but if easy to install would try to install and hopefully save money. But if not, I will have dealer install along with ICSI foot board, highway peg extensions and passeger peg extensions.
Lastly, I am having sharp pains in shoulder blade after riding? Will the 3" riser help alleviate this problem?

The only question I can answer for you is regarding the pain in shoulder blades. The 3" risers took care of that for me as well as pressure on my hands and wrists. I know others have mentioned that pain and it is gone after riser installation. I would love to tell you the lights are easy but I often get to rely on my husband to help me out if I get to a part I don't understand. I do believe though, you will find you should be able to do it yourself instead of paying a dealer all that dough.

You will not believe this, riding over the weekend with my wife, we stop to eat and I turned my wheel then key and it locked. The wheel actually locked with the key coming out. I was shocked and surprise. Now I can feel safe parking a slope if needed.:clap:
