Your Weather News @ May 2026 Edition

Welcome to Wednesday from Indiana. Calling for all-day rain today. As if we are short on rain. It is raining here right now. We could receive up to one inch of rain today.

Currently cloudy sky, raining and 68°F.
Indoor projects are on my schedule for this morning. This always makes my wife very happy. I really not sure why I just don't get the day off!!
Welcome to retirement my friend.

Today's high will be 76°F with rain showers.
Low at 60°F and some more rain.
I guess we need the water 💧.
Maybe we are going to have a
shortage on water this Summer.
Time will tell about the water deal.

Anyhow I hope you have a Sunny Day.
Be careful about what you drive though
when it comes to running water on the road. Don't be a statistic on the News.

Just wanted to say 'Thanks' for all who like to post up on this site. Yesterday was a very challenging experience.
The Doctor said I should be feeling better in a couple of days. I have a
common cold, not a virus or covid-19.
I sure am glad about that news.

Yesterday's rain was excessive, one and a half inches of water. Naturally I have a river running through my yard.

High of 70°F with rain.
Low at 59 and some rain.
Just wanted you to know.

Have a Blessed Day. (y)

Little Blue, your warnings about riding through water jogged a memory for me. 15 or so years ago I was riding with a group that rode together weekly. Almost all of them were on 3 wheels but I was still riding 2 (Goldwing). Going to lunch in a small town there was a dip in the road with a bit of slow running water left over from a prior rainstorm. All the trikes ahead of me crept through without a problem. I followed and my 2 wheels slowly sunk in the soft sand/muck bring me to a stop. Feet down with water ABOVE the top of my boots, I managed to walk the bike out. Afterwards, the guy ahead of me said he thought about warning me about the soft bottom in the middle but didn't. I endured squishy wet feet the rest of the day........

Today it's quite a bit cooler here in the desert. Currently: 83 degrees, mostly cloudy with high cirrus clouds, breeze at 3 MPH, and humidity at 29%. The high today will be 89 and the overnight low will be 63 degrees. Living in the desert, the comfort level is mostly determined by overnight temperatures. Having lower night temps gives us beautiful cooler mornings and good sleeping temperatures. No need for any AC activity until later in the afternoons. Stay safe..... Jim

Well here in Vermont, we are having a cool and unsettled stretch of weather, the most active weather of the period arrives Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. A strong system moves though Friday, bringing widespread showers and an isolated thunderstorm by afternoon, heavy rain overnight, and cold enough air aloft that the highest Adirondacks( in New York) summits could pick up a brief dusting to in an inch of snow!!!!.

Saturday starts wet before clearing nicely through the afternoon, and Sunday offers a decent day before showers return again Sunday evening. A persistent blocking pattern keeps the region unsettled through most of next week with rounds of showers, before the pattern finally begins to break down by Wednesday and a notably warmer and drier stretch arrives to close out the week.

Tonight temps in the low to mid 50's

Friday day time temps in the upper 60's. Lows in the low 40's.

Saturday, high temps in the upper 60's and lows in the upper upper 40's.

Sunday, temps in the upper 70's and lows in the 50's.

Monday, highs in the upper 60's and lows in the 40's.

Tuesday and beyond, they are watching the locked jet stream pattern gradually loosen its grip through the middle of next week, through the process is slow, this kind of setup is notoriously hard to time precisely , and model guidance continues to shift on the details. Tuesday brings partly sunny skies and high near 68 degrees, with scattered showers possible through the day as energy continues rotating through. Wednesday looks like the turning point-----mostly sunny skies return with highs near 69 as the upper level- pattern begins to shift.Thursday shapes up to be the nicest day of the extended period by a wide margin, with sunny skies and a high near 77 as warmer air finally builds in. Temps will be close to seasonal norms by the end of the week.

Currently it is cloudy, & 58 degrees.

It's a perfect Spring day here in the desert. Currently: 78 degrees. humidity at 28%, 5 MPH breeze, a (very) few puffy clouds in the distance. High today will be 85 and the overnight low will be 62. We need to enjoy this weather while it's here. It won't last. The monster (AC) that lives in my utility room and I are enjoying a break from the heat. By Monday we'll be back over 100 degrees. I suspect having sub 100 degree days are pretty much behind us for the season. Stay safe..... Jim
