Your Weather News @ FEBRUARY 2026 Edition

Little Blue

SpyderLovers Ambassador
Hello and Good Morning to everyone. Well I made it
to February 1st 2026. Hope you are doing well and
staying Healthy. Looking outside I am able to see the
early version of the 'Snow Moon'. It is going to be the
real deal tonight around 5:09pm est. Just wanted to
let you know.

February Weather is going to be about the same as
January here in Indiana. Currently cloudy sky and-1°F.
That's the 'bone cold' temperatures of the season.
TV news has said that Indiana has a cold spell this
morning till 11am. Be careful when outdoors.

The wife and I will just stay put and enjoy the Time.
We will 'live stream' our Church service today.
I hope you can too.

Today's numbers are 23°F and 10°F.
A little bit of sunshine this morning and then
afternoon clouds. Enjoy your Day and be Safe.
All is good here for us.

We're getting a few days of respite from the heat here in South Oz, mid 30's °C for highs for a couple of days instead of the very high 40's we had last week. I lost about half of my 'looking pretty good' Apricot crop to the heat last week - the ripest of the 'not quite ripe/ready for picking yet' fruit just cooked on the trees, turning the fruit itself to mush, and all the sugars in the fruit caramelised and burnt; while the half of the crop that was even less ripe, but which I hadta pick anyway before it too cooked on the trees, was only good for stewing and jam. Still, at least I got some fruit crop this year instead of losing almost all of it to marauding birds - but that was only cos it wasn't quite ripe enough yet, so the birds hadn't even tried attacking the fruit thru the bird netting; meaning that once I realised the fruit was cooking on the trees, anything that was even remotely pickable and not yet burnt mush ended up as either stewed/preserved fruit or jam!! (I tested, and both are pretty good, albeit with a little more of a tart tang and a caramelised sugar taste than I'd normally prefer. :sneaky:)

But this week looks like it's going to be much more bearable - no rain, and no mid/high 40's forecast for the week, altho it does look like the temps and the likelihood of rain will increase next week, just in time for all the kids to finish their School Holidays and head back to School. ;)

Today's high temperature for the desert has been revised down to 82! Currently: 67 degrees, humidity at 28%, Breeze at 3 MPH, and no clouds. It's a happy February 1st here in the Valley of the Sun. Stay safe and warm..... Jim

Well first off, today is the Day of the ground hog in the USA. It's an old folk lore thing. More information can be found on goggle.

I was able to enjoy the Snow Moon last night. This morning it was very cloudy, so no morning viewing. Maybe in your local area you got to see it.

Currently cloudy sky at 20°F. Maybe get some snow showers this morning.
35% chance of snow. I believe most of the snow will go to the north and miss.

Today's high will be 29°F with clouds.
Low at 19°F and cloudy sky.
The days are getting longer too.

Everything is going well for me.
Have yourself a Blessed Day and be
Healthy. Finish up some of those things that you need to do.

Good Morning to everyone. Currently overcast sky at 25°F. Yesterday's little bit of
sunshine was to much for the 'Groundhog'. So as they say we will have six more
weeks of Winter. Kind of funny that is what's left of the season of Winter. So 6 weeks and 2 days
till March 20th. Come on Spring!!!

High today of 28°F with some sunshine.
Low at 10°F with clouds.
A 42% chance of getting some snow showers
this morning.

My 12" of snow from January is still on the ground.
The sunshine has made it more denise so only
measured about 9". TV News are saying that we
might get some more snow in February. Everything is
Bright White and looks pretty. Seeing more animals tracks
in the yard. You know they need food too!

Have yourself a Grand Day and Stay Healthy.

Perfect Winter weather here in the desert. Currently; 73 degrees, 2 MPH breeze, humidity at 18%, no clouds in sight. The high today will be 81 and the overnight low will be 56. Looks like tomorrow will be a bit warmer (85....?). I hope Phil is correct and we have this (Winter) weather for the next 6 weeks. Wishing those who are experiencing true Winter weather a warm and early Spring. Stay safe..... Jim

I find myself in awe of what is happening now in my local area of the World. But then I have Learned about 'AI'. Every time I try to schedule a Doctor's appointment I have to deal with 'AI'. Just don't like it one bit.
Now that I got that out of the way, I feel a little bit better.

Currently cloudy sky at 20°F. Going to be a little colder today but no snow here till tomorrow. Be Warm and Dry.

Today's high will be 23°F with clouds.
Low at 8°F and cloudy.
Every day brings us closer to Spring
and the start of Spyder Ryde Times.
Started working on my Taxes yesterday. Yes, lots of fun if you know what I mean.

... < snip > ...

I talked to my baby sister a few days ago. She is only 76. Her husband and I are a bit older. The conversation largely consisted of doctor talk. Appointments, ailments, tests, trying to get results... etc. Seems these days life's schedules revolve around health care and trying to deal with "the system". UGHHHH! Dealing with unpredictable weather is much less stressful. (There... I got a weather related comment in!) :)

Well I believe this is February 5th. Seems like this year is going by very quickly. Must be all the pressures of dealing with everything.
Change is a tuff nut, if you know what I mean.

Now my local area weather news from Indiana. Currently cloudy sky at 12°F.
In the next couple of hours it will drop down to 9°F and then go back up. Interesting weather phenomenon. That's what the weather people said.

High today of 22°F with clouds.
Low at 19°F and a little bit of sun.
Not sure about the weekend stuff.
Oh well, there's still time.

Hope you are doing well and staying Healthy. Till Next Time my Friend. (y)

For the record, I would just like to say that the aggravating phone answering services of some offices, stores, or pharmacies are not really AI. What is AI would be artificial intelligence. The phone answering services that attempt to divert you to some automatic answering system or provide account balances etc. are not artificial intelligence nor intelligence of any kind. They are just pre-recorded prompts that begin playing when the phone answering service picks up the call. They are offering multiple choice options you can select by speaking or pressing buttons on your phone. If the option you want is not in the multiple choice selection, you still must get a human operator. Artificial Intelligence is not really at a level that it could be trusted to handle phone calls, since it depends on un-sorted information to make decisions. The phone answering services are only as effective as the individuals who set up the programs. They are in no way intellient, they are just computer programs that provide the caller with a select few choices in order for the call to continue.

I do agree they can be aggravating at times, particularly when you have to go through the same time consuming 'rig-a-ma-roll' to get through to the person or department you want to contact.

At 11 AM it was 74 degrees here in the desert. The high today will be a comfortable 80 and the overnight low will be 56 degrees. Humidity is 15% and there is a 6 MPH breeze. No clouds in sight. The automated systems used these days to deal with (lack of) customer service is particularly irritating to me. I retired from the banking industry, overseeing the management of several bank branches. Customer service was measured constantly. Phones were required to be answered (by a real person) within 3 rings. Customers who needed to be placed on hold were recontacted (by a real person) every minute or less. Use of any automated answering system was considered rude and not customer friendly. I could not live in today's business world. Stay safe..... Jim

Robins and cardinals hopping around in my front yard today. I would trust them more than any fat, lazy groundhog.
