CAT delete ( sounds great) Tric LED fender lights installed.

Rode around town and the area today. Lots going on. Drag races, car/motorcycle show (small), & the ham radio field day.
Came home and changed the oil in my Jeep.

Installed Lamonster's sway bar and end link kit; easy install, but jacking the Spyder up 23 inches was pretty scary!! I removed the stock 7 pound rear fender, got the new Amazon.com rear fender installed (a really good fit and quality, powder coated metal not plastic!) then took her out for test ride. Thumbs up for the Lamonster sway bar kit and I really like the new rear fender.

Yesterday, I went for a short Spyder ride, stopped at a local beer brewery, then went & got some ice cream, sat by the water.

Friday (26th) went for one Spyder ride.

Today (28th) I did not ride, I just chilled lax, did a house project.

With a stretch of five 100+ degree days in the forecast, with heat index from 105-110, I had to get out this weekend. Got with a couple of friends on Saturday and did a nice little 160 mile ride early in the morning. The goal was to get home before 12, but we missed it by 45 minutes. And you could really tell when 12 noon hit. Things got really hot, really fast. I did not take the Spyder, but my 2 wheeler instead. It had sat for too long, and I wanted to get as many more miles out of those tires before taking it in for a service and being told that I needed a replacement. Really don't have plans for the 4th, so I am hoping that wife will agree for a ride to the mountains for the day. The 87 predicted there will feel a lot better than the 103 forecast for here.

We also did another thing this weekend. Wife finally got back into another red car, after 30 years (red is her favorite color). I an not 100% happy with the brand, but she likes it and we got a decent deal. Now I am hoping that will allow me a little leeway in the event that I should make another motorcycle purchase, by accident. Lol!

Bugger, the appointment is Tuesday, I got up early for nothing. I fasted for nothing, and have to do it again for tomorrow.

I had my Annual Wellness Check-up this morning too. This is what they do for old people as a physical is kind of a waste of time. LOL. They just want to know if you are depressed and on the verge of suicide or some silly notion like that.

Yesterday I performed a miracle.
Last week I noticed some paint peeling on the inside of my Route 129 that I had painted maybe a couple of years ago.



I thought it looked pretty good. So anyway, I decided to take the shield off and see if I could fix this problem. When I got it apart, I noticed paint peeling up from around the lower mount. I pulled on it a bit and the paint came off in a long 2" wide strip. Underneath the paint, the windshield looked perfect.
So then I tried to blend the jagged edges of the recently removed strip of paint. Once done, I cleaned the shield again and repainted it. 2 days later I saw where the paint was peeling up again.
At this point I figured it was a total loss, so I ordered a new shield from GP CYCLEWORKS.
As I was messing around in the shop, I decided to try and see if I could make any headway maybe peeling some paint off. I just used a microfiber towel and began rubbing it against the jagged paint edges where the paint didn't adhere well.
Anyway, long story short, it all came off with no residue, scratches, or dull spots. I couldn't believe my luck. Not in a million years did I think this was possible. I'm so happy. I'm going to leave it clear, and leave it the heck alone. Also, I canceled my order for the new shield.





Maybe I'll buy a lottery ticket, lol.

Oh yeah, the Medicare annual wellness check, as opposed to a real physical exam. They also want to know if you can draw a clock and set the hands to show 10:45am. Then they give you a number of words and ask you to remember and recall them on command, while you're drawing the flippin clock!

The first time I went through this, they asked me to recall the words and I replied, words, what words? The nurse was not amused.

I think I failed. Like I told them, I knew it was Tuesday because yesterday was Monday as I was going to show up then. I’m retired, what do I care what day it is?

I passed the clock as I have only ever had analogue manual wind watches.

I got one of the words right.

Repeating numbers backwards I don’t think I passed that. I don’t drink but I don’t think I would pass one of the DUI tests.

I managed identifying the triangle but failed the largest object. I thought the clock was the largest object.

I wish you could study for this test, it would make it a lot easier.

Then you get a story, but how was I to know Chicago was in Illinois? I thought it was in Indiana. I didn’t realize there was going to be a geography test, or any test for that matter. I would have payed more attention.

So, when they did the transmission recall the tabs I put on the battery terminals for the jump pacK if needed went MIA. And I had not yet install star washers. So when picking up the star washers and got slightly longer bolts, as now there is: 1 Star Washer, 2 Battery lead, 3 Battery tender lead, 4 Jump pack tab.

And I put the cover back with T-nuts. Why did the Spyder not come this way???
