What did you do to your Spyder today?

When you get out of metro areas here in the mountain west, you favorite gas station is the one that you see.

You fill up when you can, not when you need to. If I’m getting down to 100 miles to go until empty I’m filling up for sure.

I don’t think I’ll chance seeing if I can get 7 gallons in the tank!

I’m glad it worked out for you as these things are really heavy to push.

That is for sure. I would only do a test like I did here when I know every little station within 1/2 miles. This type of experiment was a one time deal. I typically fill up when I get to the last 2 bars, even if I know where I am and the next service station. If I am not familiar with the area, I don't go much below 1/2 tank.

Did a longer test on the blind spot radar today... It's also my second time doing a video. The first one was an overexposed mess.

I had adjusted the sensor before, but I probably pointed it too much to the right, hence the yellow sometimes lights up when a car behind me is slightly to the left...

I took a trip to Greenville, Tn yesterday. Today I had Baja Ron install the JRI shocks on the front and an Elka shock on the rear. Due to rain moving in, I did not get to do a good test ride today with the new shocks. The little I got to do today shows great promise on better handling.

I finished adding a SHAD top case to my 2020RT base. Applied reflective American flags on the case sides for increased visibility and Patriotism.
Also added reflective appliques to mirror cases for added visibility.

Installed KOTT S/S intake screens and added some finer mesh to hopefully keep the bug guts out of the rad.

I took my trip to Greeneville, TN yesterday and rode home today. I went to Baja Ron's for them to install my rear Elka shock and they also did EBC rotors and pads, a belt tensioner, car tires front and rear, and flushed the brake fluid. Ron bedded in the brakes on a test ride himself. I got a chance to chat a bit and had a beautiful 200 mile ride home. Great folks there. And what a gorgeous little town. Couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

Disconnected my analog gauges. My display now has the digital readout for temp and fuel.

Went to take the Spyder out for a ride ( it has been 1.5 months since last ride ) and found I have a mouse in the garage. Have not had one for several years. Everything worked ok on the bike but my helmet liner and old BMW Airflow gloves were trashed. After a short ride one of my FOBO sensors was not transmitting. Filler her up with push water and went home to troubleshoot the FOBO, looks like one of the batteries died. That was it, went ahead and replaced all three.

Changed oil (Amsoil 10W-40)...went a little over at 10,300 miles this time. Pulled a sample at 9,300miles exactly and still waiting for results. Also cleaned the canister prefilter and changed the fuel filter. The price of the fuel filter tripled in 2 years time at NAPA.
