• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm Out.

That is a bummer as I know you would love the 2014. Maybe you should try selling your older ones yourself then you can get a better deal on a new one.

Spot On

We are ALL lucky we even have Spyder,s .

You gottit dead spot on! in my view. I feel totally lucky that my wife and I could afford "Scoot3r" (2010 RT A&C SE5). He's got 15K on the odo, no troubles, and I thoroughly enjoy riding him. My finances could swing the upgrade to a 2014 or 15, but do I want to go into that kind of debt if I don't have to? Short answer is no. I'm upgrading to a comfort seat of some kind, RIVCO Arm rests and a sports rack- all fit our needs for happy trails this spring and summer. :thumbup:

Thanks- Jim "Kraut" Fussner

Thank you all for your kind words and concern about my situation with the 2014. Everything will work out and maybe I will be destined to own a 1330 x 3 before I have to give up rydeing. I look at major glitches as this, as telling me to back off for now. :thumbup:

. Now, is having an extra gear a couple of more horsepower, avg. 1 or 2 mpg. and idling alittle slower worth $23,000.00? Not in my book. But, that's just my opinion. :yikes:

15K diff for me, and yes it was worth it because, 1. I ain't getting any younger and 2. I simply WANTED it. :yes:

Look one the bright side. You have two great running Spyders that have those great big, formortable Seal Floorboards on them:clap:.

I'm in no hurry to trade my 2011 RT with 33,000 mi. on it. It's a great ride and I plan to ride it into the ground in comfort.:thumbup:

Ride in comfort,
John

:shocked::hun:
You've got a 2013 ST-S... :dontknow:

Which is probably why he said what he did. I feel like a Jim Jones follower myself after drinking the "new and improved" Kool-Aid myself. I had a choice between a 12 and 13 not so sure I made the right one.

But aren't early tests showing an improvement with yours? :shocked:
Yes but on my own dime. How would you 2014 owners feel after you see recalls and issues after buying the best thing since sliced bread. It remains to be seen if BRP will solve or reimburse us for our fixes. Improvement is not perfection by any means and future heat under the Tupperware and the effect on soft parts remains to be seen. A software fix is not going to fix the air flow issues that have caused melted parts and reports have come in that even after the tinfoil some melting still occurs. :dontknow:

I have not seen any reports on melting after the "tinfoil" was installed. would you point me toward the source so I could read them ?
