Your Weather News @ FEBRUARY 2026 Edition

Well here in Vermont the current temp is 16 degrees and cloudy. Tonight will be frigid (this will be the last cold blast). A weak clipper system will bring light snow showers Friday night into Saturday with little to no accumulation expected for most areas. The main story heading into next week is a much anticipated warming trend through next week, with Highs climbing into the upper 30s and low 40s. Mid-week brings increased uncertainly with a complex system that could bring rain, freezing rain, and snow, depending on how all the features align.

Daytime temps will range from the 20's to upper 40's through next week, with overnight lows in the single digits to upper 30's.

Next week, Tuesday and beyond will see a warming trend, which consist of some uncertainty. A complex low pressure system moves towards the area mid to late week with increased uncertainty on type and timing. Rain, Freezing rain, and snow are all possible, depending on how the cold air flowing/spreading from Canada and the warm air lifting Northward interact across the forecast area.

I am going snowmobiling this weekend.

Today's high was 78 degrees here in the desert. Light breeze, 20% humidity, and partly cloudy. Big cool down tomorrow. It's expected to be rainy with a high of 65. No Friday car show for me. I'm sure the lot will be empty anyway. Today's appointment with my cardiologist had to get rescheduled for tomorrow. He needed to do hospital work with someone requiring more attention than I do. Hard to be upset by that. Besides, my old Buick will enjoy a rainy drive to the doctor. My old blue pony gets dusted off a couple time a week and never driven in the rain on purpose. But old Buick is pretty neglected. A rainy day drive will do her good. Stay safe..... Jim

Finally Friday and the weather is really looking good for this weekend. More on that Later. This morning it is a little chilly for me. Currently cloudy sky at 25°F. Calling for some fog here this morning.

Thankful that the snow is melting away here in Indiana. This has been
the most snow in Indiana for about 7 or 8 years. The total for this Season is
at 30.5". Yes, we will probably get more snow before the winter season ends.

High today of 49°F with sunshine 🌞
Low at 30°F and sunny.
Just a quick note about today
Friday the 13th. Good Luck 👍

Stay Healthy and Be Warm.
Till Next Time my Spyder Friends.

Welcome to the Weekend. Currently overcast sky at 39°F.
I still have a large amount of snow on my yard. Oh well, it
Is not time to cut the grass. Maybe in April or May.
Good Day to all you that enjoy sled time. This should be a
good weekend for you.

High is 49°F with some clouds.
Low at 39°F with a chance of rain.
Calling for rain showers late tonight

Sunday high at 53°F with some sunshine.
Low of 32°F.

Watching the Olympics has been very interesting.
It seems like most of the Countries are at odds
with America. Seems like we are the cheating USA.
That is how the World News is making us feel.
I have definitely noticed that we are not looking very
good in most events. Anyone else seen this attitude?
I heard on a local sports station, 'we should just
bring Team USA back home'.

The wife and I say stay true and be patient.
Have yourself a Blessed Weekend.
Till Next Time My Friend. (y)

Mostly sunny today here in the desert. Currently; 70 degrees, humidity at 40%, 2 MPH breeze with "gusts" to 5 MPH. The high today will be 72 and overnight low will get down to 50. These are normal seasonal temperatures for us. Yesterdays "rain" turned out to be just a (very) little drizzle off and on for a couple hours in the afternoon. Just enough to make spots in the dust on old Buick but not enough to wash the dust off! GRRRRRRRR! Stay safe and Happy Valentines Day..... Jim

Welcome back from the Weekend. We had some Sunday morning rain. So with the rain and melted snow everything is very soggy. .

Currently cloudy sky at 34°F. Going to be another mostly cloudy day here. Looking forward to the warmer temperatures.

High today of 56°F with clouds.
Low at 37°F and cloudy.
Enjoy your Ryde Time if you're able.

Everyone try and stay Healthy.

73 for a high today in the desert. We are experiencing filtered sun with the sky looking gray instead of blue. Very light breeze, humidity at 27%. The overnight low will be 54. There is a high chance of rain starting about midnight and ending about 9 AM tomorrow. We'll continue to cool during the week with Thursdays high only getting to about 60. But it should be mostly sunny after the rain ends tomorrow morning. Stay safe..... Jim

Well here in Vermont, the temps this week are in the 30's and 40's (WOOOHOOOOOOOOO) and no more Arctic cold blasts. The Arctic cold blasts have officially ended.

As for the weather forecasts, a few light snow showers move in overnight into Tuesday, as a warm front lifts through the area. Significant uncertainty remains on Wednesday's snow event. The current weather model shows the heaviest snow impact will stay South of one of the cities, but the Southern part of Vermont will likely see the accumulation.

Thursday becomes quite seasonable. Snow chances return late Friday into Saturday with wrap around moisture from a developing coastal system. A potentially stronger coastal system is being monitored for Sunday into Monday.

Tuesday's temps will be in the 40's with a 50% chance of rain and snow. It will be mostly cloudy. Nighttime temp in the 20's.

Wednesday, there is a 50% of snow developing before 10:00 EST. The exact Northward extent of this system remains highly uncertain - the current model consensus suggests the Southern areas will see the greatest snow chances, while the Northern portions may stay mostly dry. It will be cloudy.

Thursday will see temps in the 30's, be mostly sunny, and quiet. Night time lows will be in the teens.

Friday, expect temps in the 30's, mostly cloudy. Snow becomes more likely overnight. Night time lows will be in the 20's.

Saturday, temps will be in the 30's and there is a 40% chance of snow from wrap around moisture off the coastal system. Overnight lows will be in the upper teens.

Sunday and beyond, the weather pattern is unsettled. A potentially impactful coastal system is being monitored for Sunday into Monday. Time will tell.

I went on a 100 mile ride on my snowmobile, the trails were awesome! I might go again this coming Saturday, depending the snow storm.

I'm glad you got to enjoy some Sled Time. Hopefully you can
enjoy more. Remember to Stay Healthy and Be Warm.

Currently cloudy sky at 39°F. Calling for a mostly cloudy day here.
About 85% of the snow has melted. I am so glad to see the snow go.
I'm not a snow person anymore.
Just me I guess. As always have a great day.

Today's high should be about 56°F with clouds.
Low at 50°F. Now that is some good numbers.
I didn't wash my vehicles over the weekend due to
the rain. Maybe I'll try today or tomorrow 🤔

Sending Prayers for people in flooding areas.
Remember streams and rivers are tuff issues.
I have not dealt with flooding problems but I
have seen the effects. Not a pretty thing.

The middle of February and yesterday it was 70°F here! Took the doggos for a nice long walk and they were in heaven. We set an all time warm temp record for the day.

And I STILL haven't had a chance to test out my new snowblower!!! The prospects aren't looking good either...

6000 feet above sea level and 6" of snow this morning with much more to come. All that nice January weather we had here in the Sierra Nevada mountains has gone East. Schools are closed, as are most of the mountain passes. Avalanche cannons up on mountain are blasting away, but the snowplow has not been on our street as they are trying to keep the main road open.
Will make the first of a few runs on the driveway soon...

Have friend who lives there.
He was telling me they need the snow.
Lack of water in the lakes due to droughts.

Little Blue,

I might be going again this weekend for more Sled time. I usually try to be safe, and I do stay warm. I have heated clothing (pants & jacket).

They have issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southern Vermont, Wednesday through early Thursday morning, with light to moderate snow expected. Most Northern areas will stay dry, but snow returns for all of Friday afternoon into Friday night, with 3-6" possible across much of the region, heaviest between 1 PM (EST) and 1:00 AM (EST) Saturday.

Temps remain seasonable through the weekend, before turning cold early next week.

We seem to be on a storm train here in Vermont.

Tonight's temp is expected to be in the low 20's, mostly cloudy.

Wednesday's temps reach the 30's with night time lows in the upper teens and some snow showers that continue. Localized pockets of freezing rain are possible. This will be most likely in the Southern part to Vermont.

Thursday, day time temps should reach the upper 30's. It will be mostly sunny, with dry conditions. Night time temps will drop into the upper teen's, and it will be partly cloudy with quiet conditions as an overnight high pressure builds.

Friday will see temps in the upper 30's in the morning and near 35 degrees in the afternoon. Snow developing through the late afternoon and will continue throughout the day. Widespread light to moderate snowfall is expected, with the heaviest snow between 1PM (EST) and midnight. Travel will be difficult and could temporarily reduced visibility. Regional snowfall of 3-6" is expected in the Central and Northern parts of Vermont, only 1-3" Southern Vermont. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20's.

Saturday, the temps will be in the upper 30's and it will be mostly cloudy, with snow showers mainly in the morning hours. Wrap-around moisture from the departing low pressure system may produce more snow showers. The overnight lows will be in the upper teens.

Sunday, the temps will be in the upper 30's and it will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers as a low pressure system moves through . Timing and the track of that will remain uncertain. The overnight lows will be in the upper teens.

Monday and beyond, the temps will return to Frigid levels as cold air moves in. The temps on Monday will in upper 20's. The overnight lows will drop into the single digits, marking the coldest night within the next seven days with a dangerous wind chill developing. Tuesday becomes Frigid with highs only just reaching the upper teens. Dry conditions are expected Monday going on into Tuesday. After that, there is a gradual moderation possible late next week.

The current temp is 34 degrees.

I guess the only thing to say for Vermont is enjoy the snow.
Then I suppose if you live there you 'gotta love it'. Just would
Not be for me. Anyhow be sure about the weather.

Yesterday sunshine finally got the job done. No snow on my yard.
Unfortunately there is standing water areas in the yard now.
No issues with flooding problems for me.

Currently overcast sky at 55°F. Supposed to be an awesome day
here in Indiana. Check out the outside and no problems so far.
Come on Spring and the warmer temperatures. (50°F to 60°F)

High today of 66°F with some clouds this morning.
Mostly clear and sunny in the afternoon.
Low at 43°F. Now that is what I want to see.

Sad, but I have put the Spyder in 'Hibernation Time' till
April 3rd. Just to make things more affordable. I am
still retired and the doctor bills do add up quickly.
No very fun getting older anymore.

As always have a Blessed Day Everyone.

Little Blue, I'm used to the snow here in Vermont and I will enjoy it.

Today, the weather is calm, quiet, and partly sunny, with temps in the 30's. Through the afternoon and evening, snow showers will begin to make their arrival across far Southern Vermont. Near Massachusetts, some could see 3-6" inches of new snow. Snow begins to wrap up and taper off as the low temps fall back into the teens.

Thursday also looks like to be quiet and nicer day of the week, with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Temps will be warmer again, with highs in the low to mid 30s. Clouds start make their arrival again on Thursday night with lows dropping into the teens and 20's.

Friday starts off being quiet and snow starts to arrive from South to North through Friday afternoon and evening. They are saying possibly anywhere from 2-4" of new snow in the lower elevations, and 4-8" inches in the higher elevations.

Sunday could start with a bit of sunshine, but clouds and another possible round of snow may move in through the afternoon and evening, then continue into Monday.

But on a good note, the temps are starting to get warmer.

The current temp is 36 degrees and it's partly sunny.

There is plenty of snow around for riding the snowmobile. For anyone who is not familiar with snowmobiles, they have the same "Y" frame as the Spyders, basically a Spyder on Skis, and we use them on snowmobile trails. Here in Vermont, we have over 5,000 miles of snowmobile trails.
