• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Gas cap won’t unlock - any suggestions to help?

Well, took the F3 out after a longish winter rest. Went to fill up and the key had a hard time getting into the cap. Little pb blaster sorted that out, but now it won’t unlock. I’ve tried some mechanical agitation while twisting, pressing down on the cap to try to release tension, all with no luck. Any suggestions before I go with the flat blade and pipe wrench option?

I had issues on my 2018 F3. Used PB blaster, but it never lasted. Someone suggested graphite powder, so I used that once and never had to use it again. Are you able to get the key into the lock now? If so, you could try and get some graphite powder in. Before the graphite powder, I thought I would end up breaking the key trying to unlock the cap. I hope you can get this sorted out!

I think there is a liquid lock lube of some sort that comes in a little squirt bottle/can. It's probably mostly graphite. You may need to let it soak for a while. I hope you get it open (or have already got it open)!

If you ever get it off don't put a locking cap back on would be my suggestion to you! Good luck, be careful of sparks! Swing a rubber hammer! 😁
