• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Blue Skies, dry roads, and 70° - Great Spyder Ride! If this is "global warming", bring it on!

Earlier this week, here in Northern Illinois, we had some temps in the 20's and more than a dusting of new snow. I was ready to put Stabil into the RT and say goodbye for the winter. But I decided to wait before taking that drastic step. Today it was almost 70! With blue skies and dry roads. Went out for a two hour, 70 mile ride that was as nice as any I have had all season. I could live with this "Global warming" all year round, but I know that won't happen. Most years it is right about now, mid November, that whatever motorcycle I have is put to bed for the winter. Stabil in the gas tank, battery tender on the battery, a rag stuffed in the tail pipe to keep critters from nesting, and maybe a cover over the bike until at least mid-March. But maybe this year will be different with a chance to have an enjoyable ride in early December, and an early Spring in early March for only a three month hibernation.

Well here in Vermont we have a messy snow storm this weekend. starting on Saturday night into Sunday. The current temp is 35 degrees. My spyder is in hibernation until April. It has Sta-Bil in it, did oil and filter change, put on a battery maintainer , tucked in for the winter. I hope we have a short winter. ( off topic, I will be getting the snowmobile ready for the snowmobile season, which is Dec. 15 to April 15th, I don't have much down time between the motorcycle season and the snowmobile season).
