More confusion? If this is for real "Let the engine idle for at least 20 seconds, up to 10 minutes" that would make checking much easier if we only wait 20 seconds. However, apparently letting it idle for 11 minutes will cause a mis-read of some type?![]()
It won't, but instead of worrying about it and rehashing all the discussion, you could just do what the majority of the rest of us do, which @BLUEKNIGHT911 posted it in post #2, and only check your oil immediately AFTER a ride of at least 10 minutes! If you pull in from a ride, then stop the Spyder, let it idle for a few seconds, then the engine off & simply get off, take off your helmet & gloves etc, and check the oil then, without too much faffing around along the way, you will've satisfied all the necessary. Then, when you come out to ride next time, if there isn't a dirty great puddle of oil underneath it, you KNOW you're good to go.

Simples really! Just don't sweat the small stuff, or let the notoriously poorly worded/even worse proof read user manual confuse you.
