• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many miles do you have on your Spyder?

4 months old only.

I've had my 2014 RTL for 4 months now and have 8000 on it. I bought it to have for many years as my Valkyrie. I hear they are maintenance free at least so far.

2012-RTS SE5

Bought our Spyder RTS SE5 back in December 2012.

We are just now getting close to 6,000 miles.

Will be paid off by DECEMBER! YIPPIE! =Then maybe we will trade UP?

KS- Heat isn't so fun to ride in-in the summer--so have low miles on ours!

:D

2012 RS-S 47,850 miles I got it to ride into retirement but I think by the time that get's here I will want a new one :yes:lets ride...jtpollock

I am a new Spyder owner and am curios about how many miles owners have on their Spyders.
I tend to keep my bikes for a long while, example my last Goldwing I had for ten years and had 120,000 plus miles on her. I know that the 1330s have not been around long enough to acumalate heavy miles but what about the 990s?

My 2011 RT S has 42,000 on it and is still going strong!!

how many

I bought my 2014 this Febuary , but work 60hrs a week so Ive only got 8,000 miles on it , replaced the OEM tire at 6K.

Traded my 2012 RT in with 12,000 miles

Traded my 2013 RT in with 9,000 miles

Traded my 2014 RT in with 27,000 miles

My 2015 RT currently has 4,000 miles (but the ashtray is not full yet).

Joe,
I think that you'll need to find a couple more RTs: a 2010, and a 2011. nojoke
Collect the entire set!
It's fun for the Whole Family!! :roflblack:

17,700 miles

We've enjoyed 17,700 miles on our 2014 RT Limited. :D:D:D The engine/transmission has been flawless. :firstplace: Only issue we had is a cracking of the plastic where the saddle bags attached - replaced under warranty.

Our 2012 RT Limited had just under 8,000 miles when traded in on our 2014 RT L in Jan 2014. The 2012 RT L was a very reliable machine as well with minimal issues.

We've been lucky on both of our Spyders....no real issues to speak of.

The 2014 RT L has been an AWESOME machine.....a real "keeper".

Wifes' got 75,000 since Nov 2011

I am a new Spyder owner and am curios about how many miles owners have on their Spyders.
I tend to keep my bikes for a long while, example my last Goldwing I had for ten years and had 120,000 plus miles on her. I know that the 1330s have not been around long enough to acumalate heavy miles but what about the 990s?

My wife got the first RT in Nov 2011 and put the first 66K on it until upgrading to the 2015 RT-S in April. She has 9K on the 1330 and I got the hand me down and have another 2K on it. Sold the last 2 wheeler in April. She commutes to work on the RT most days and puts on 9-10K on a year just commuting.

I have the important job of support member/pit crew to keep the tires, oil and maintenance up.
Looking forward to my off-time now that she's running the 1330!!

Interest in updated Mileage reports

Hi Everyone,

Anyone interested in updating their mileage again now that a few years have passed.

Bought my 2012 RTL in June of 2015 with 8500 miles on it. Now has 34,112 miles. I should be able to get a few more weeks in, then day by day as weather and temps allow.

BTW that is 1600 mi/mo

Kathy's 2014 RTS - Purchased July 2014. It now has 45,950 miles
My 2017 F3S Daytona - Purchased November 2016. It now has 16,110 miles on it.

The RTS has had an air bag and compressor issue. It also had a water pump gasket replaced. The fuel pump was replaced because it was noisy. The DPS nut also was tightened as it had started to show play in the bars. Just recently the DPS system was replaced. All under warranty with the exception of the air bag and compressor. We have replaced the brakes all the way around one time. Replaced the front and rear tires; the fronts at 18,000 miles and the rear at 5,900 miles. (that's right, she has 40,000 miles on her Michelin Hydroedge).

The Daytona has had no problems at all at this point. Replaced front and rear tires at 9,000 miles.

Tires are Federal EVO's and Michelin Hydroedges.

Reading about various :spyder2:'s being traded and sold, I am curious as to how many are riding :spyder2:'s with higher mileage on them.

The format I suggest is year, model, and mileage.

I will start:

2010 RT-S, 30,000 miles so far.
2011 RT-A&C 5,500 miles so far.

2014 RTS. 32000

2014 RTL picked up new in April of 2014

Have not been able to ride as much as I would like due to Minnesota winters and full time employment. Not that I am retired I hope to be able to ride more next season!

Current mileage is 65,538.
