There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HEADLITE BULB ????

Joel:

I have a 2011 RTS. The "Green Manual" calls for a headlamp H9, the owners manual just states "2 X 55w." I'm not doubting you, just trying to make sure all the ducks are in a row. I'll just remove one of my lights and see exactly what it is. There may have been a bulb specification change between my 2011 and your 2014.
I would take it out and look at the bulb ..... I have a 14 RT .... the owner's manual Bulb info was WRONG - it's an HB3 or 9005 , like Joel said .... I don't think they ever changed the North American bulb spec's ......... Mike

For $30 I just purchased a set of H4 for my wife's F3. Hopefully, they will be better than the other ones I tried. With LED COBs on 4 sides, these should work much better than the 2 sided ones I tried last time.

Your going to love these! It takes alot to impress me, and these LED bulbs did. Finally something worth spending my money on. Now I have a whole cabinet full of other bulbs I have tried.

:agree: I was thinking the samething when I looked at the picture. Then I remembered that Joel has a RT. They must have been for the fog lights. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

I knew someone would ask about the flourescent bulbs!:thumbup::thumbup: I didnt realize they were on the shelf until I downloaded the picture. I have a bunch of those I want to give away also. I converted all the lights in my house to LED.

Please give us a review once you get them installed and try them out.

I have seen older RT's with a headlight assembly that looks the same, but is not shuttered. They had the conventional high/low lamps. I don't know why or what year or years. I'm sure someone can chime in, but I've definitely seen several older RT's that way.

Thats a really nice wrap on your Spyder. Where did you get it? I have that same color ST and have always thought it was a hard color to find a wrap for and look right.

I've seen Joel's bike in person and the pictures do not do this wrap the justice it deserves. It is FANTASTIC looking...larryd

WELLLLLLL NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT

Just wondering if these would work in an f3? The f3 calls for a hb2 bulb. Thanks!
They label different bulbs to FIT different sockets .... so an HB3 /9005 is not very likely to fit an HB2 ...... Early in this post Joel listed the manufacturer of the Bulb and WHO sold it on E-bay ...... so go back on E-bay and see if the seller also has this bulb in an HB2 base ...... Mike

LEDs Arrived!

Fast service from E-bay. However, I had assumed (dangerous) :opps: that they were dual element replacements Hi/LO, NOT :opps: they are only a single element for a two bulb setup for HI/LO. They would be perfect for any of the :spyder2: with shutters. But my 2015 ST has a single bulb with HI/LO filaments, but they will fit my cage. They do appear to be well made and I'll see how they last.

Some LED's can be damaged if wired the wrong way...... or you short circuit them otherwise they have a life usually in excess of 30,000 hrs ...... Mike

YOUR NEW LED'S

Sooooooooo have you driven in the DARK :yikes: yet , and if so how are they ..... Mike

Why didnt you order the correct fitment for your ST? They are available in most of the popular sizes. I only posted the link to the 9005's. :banghead:

I guess I need to post this.

Ok, here they are:

Spyder RS and GS headlights http://www.ebay.com/itm/YITA-H7-120...ash=item3ac85eb8d5:g:RrsAAOSwSv1XkJpY&vxp=mtr

Spyder F3 and ST headlights http://www.ebay.com/itm/YITA-2pcs-8...ash=item41a899ae01:g:w6EAAOSwfRdZHU4H&vxp=mtr

Spyder RT headlights http://www.ebay.com/itm/YITA-2PCS-1...ash=item41ad25036e:g:5gEAAOSwM4xXbKoL&vxp=mtr

Spyder RT foglights http://www.ebay.com/itm/YITA-H11-LE...ash=item41ad36cbb5:g:O60AAOSwNuxXbitY&vxp=mtr

NOTE: The cam plate on the bulb can be removed to fit the rubber cover on the back of headlights. On the RT, the stock hard cover fits, but its tight.

There, now I shouldn't be getting a million PM's asking if they fit.
