There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Is the fuel gauge accurate on an F3?

I just filled up 2015 F3 for the first time and got wondering if I can trust the fuel gauge? It only had about half a tank when I got it so I have no idea if it's gonna drop like a ship anchor when I get to quarter full. Thanks!

There is probably some variation bike to bike. But my experience is that the fuel gauge is somewhat conservative and seems to have more than a gallon or two left when it indicates empty.

I'm not familiar with the 2015's, only my 2023.

Doesn't your model have an MPG and DTE indicators?

One would think that if you kept an eye on these for a while that you'd be able to gage the approximate accuracy of the fuel gauge.

On my 2016 RTL, when the gauge starts into the red, I get the low fuel light. It has been very consistent over the life of the bike. If I fill as soon as the light comes on, I can squeeze in 5 gallons. Mine has a 6.9 gallon capacity. No MPG or DTE on my display that I have ever found.

Fuel gauges on both our F3-S’s (‘15 and ‘17) are pretty accurate. If you’re doing a lot of hot-dogging or 75mph+ interstate riding, you’re gonna want to start looking for fuel around 150 to 170 miles. Normal riding will be closer to 200. I believe the yellow “low fuel” light comes on when two bars are indicated on the graph. Ours will still go once all bars disappear. I don’t suggest you do that, though! Also, if you get enough fuel in at fill up, there is a small wedge of a bar at the top of the graph that will come on - looks just like the one at the bottom of the graph. Pre-2018 F3-S’s do not have a DTE or range readout. Only a Trip A and Trip B. I reset Trip A at each refuel, and Trip B and Trip Hours each time I leave the house.

Thanks, that's the info I was looking for.
