• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio and headlights

Two questions from a dumb new owner.

1. How do you erase preset radio stations on the RT?
2. Can the headlights be adjusted, because they suck as for any distance coverage?

1. I'm still wondering that myself... :dontknow:
2. Yes; instructions are in the manual... I've got to look them up because I've been saying exactly what you said about them... Now's a good time of the year to experiment!

If I understand what the manual is telling me, you would just program the new station following the instructions and overwrite the preset position with the new station.

Radio and Headlights

Tried programing new stations and could not get it to replace the ones already in place...must be doing something wrong..Will keep messing with it. Thanks for the info.

The radio is a bear. I have overridden a selection, but never could repeat it reliably.

The headlights on an RT adjust with brass adjuster knobs located under the side covers...the panel you remove to check your oil, and the opposite side. The instructions are in your manual.

1. Follow what the manual says to change presets on the radio. But keep trying. Sometimes the new settings will take and other times not. Must be a Canadian thing.
2. It's been a while but you'll need an allen wrench to do the headlights. Again look in the manual (memory fails me) but the adjustment set screw is somewhere in the right side panel. It's tricky to get it right where you want it. Put a car about twenty feet ahead of you. On low beam you want the shutter to keep the light from going into the car's back window.

Headlights

I was going to ask how to adjust my headlights. I have been flashed several times by oncoming cars when I had my low beams on. I figured I would adjust while we were suffering from PMS. That and install the new comfort seat I got off of ebay for 324 bucks (with shipping). I think I am gonna try to tinker next week depending on my progress. That will help ease my suffering:doorag:

Teddy suggested posting some visual aids for you

The long straight cable with the boot and brass fitting on the end is the adjustment knob for the headlights. This one is on the right hand side.

This is a close up of the adjustment cable from the right hand side.

Here, Teddy is modeling the Left hand side adjustment knob for you, its still in its stock location and you can see the brass adjusting knob sticking out right above where you check the oil

Ref Radio re-sets

You could try this in the Audio section in the cluster display try selecting a different region e.g. Region B (For UK and Ireland)

Switch off - When you next switch on Region B should be selected - you may have to keep this Region on for a short period
again Via the Audio menu re-select Region A (For Canada/USA)
Switch off again and when you next switch on Region A will be restored - This may have cleared the previous stored Radio Stations
you had previously stored and used in Region A - Allowing you to start again

I just repeat any Stations found into spare pre-sets - Therefore it easy to find the stations either going up or down the pre-selected
channels (You can just cycle through them rather than have any gaps)

My radio seems to reset back to Region A on its own due to a bug or something - Dealer unable to sort it out but I can get some
UK Radio stations so I put up with it - I have noticed when I have managed to keep Region B for a period once it has reset itself back to Region A any pre-stored Radio Stations have cleared

Not sure if this will work but its worth a try

This has to be one of thee best solutions to try that I've seen. Amazing how overly complicated some engineers can make something as simple as clearing out a radio station. Geesh...

I noticed that when I get flashed a bit more it also means I need to fill up the air under the seat - that changes the perspective of the lights a LOT. When you go to adjusting the headlight aim (need to do each side independently) - there is a aim point at 30feet (i think) and the air in the airbag has to be left to zero when you aim them. Otherwise when you fill it and then sit on the seat it will point WAY up right in their eyes :yikes:

Did that wrong at first when I changed to the Xenon lights.
