The smaller the trailer, the bigger the theft risk. I don't have an RT-622, but for my other trailers (even the big ones) I carry a tongue lock that fits into the ball hitch, and a padlock to lock the tongue latch open. A long, sturdy cable and a heavy padlock can be used between the wheels, to slow thieves down, too. Another cable lock can fasten the trailer to a light pole. A trailer cover can make things a little more inconspicuous, but it needs a lock of its own. It also slows down those that might try to break into the trailer. If at a motel, park in a conspicuous spot, preferably near the front door, in good light. If you are still nervous, tow the trailer with you...and be sure to lock the tongue latch so it is locked to the Spyder.
