Made an awesome day trip from the Raleigh, NC area through Mountain City to ride the Snake all the way to Shady Valley, Tn. From there we took the Damascus road to the shortest tunnel at Backbone Rock. Then we made our way up to the Back of the Dragon and stopped in Tazwell for some photos. Riding was great and it was a personal test for me to see how well the F3L would do on a longer ride, since i am planning on riding this to the northeast to finish my 48 state tour. Total of 7 spyders, 1 ryker, and 1 Victory. We did get separated on the way home, as some missinformation as to wether to stop to gear up when we encountered a little shower. I was watching radar and figured we would ride out of it (which we did), while others decided to stop and gear up. But we all made it home safe. it was a long day. I left home at 6:25 and pulled back in around 8pm. Total of 549 miles. I felt really good at the end of the ride. But about an hour later, I was exhausted. But the ride was well worth it.
