We had 72° (a near record) on Christmas Day, 50° today, and supposed to be 71° tomorrow. I will be cleaning up the office today and getting out for a ride tomorrow. We had another ride, to pick up a 2020 RTL, over the past 2 weeks. This will be his first time out on the 3's, so we will take it easy on him so he can hopefully join the over the hill gang and not just be another one with a bike just sitting in his garage.

Christmas morning was soggy here in the desert. By noon the rain quit and the rest of the day saw the clouds slowly clearing out. Currently: 70 degrees, partly cloudy, humidity at 63%, 3 MPH breeze. The high today will be 75° and the overnight low will be 48°. No rain in today's forecast. For some reason it felt like Saturday when I got up this morning. Started to look at the TV schedule to see if there were any college FB games I wanted to watch. Only then did I realize it was Friday! Been retired for 21 years next week and pretty much every day can feel like a Saturday. It's easy to lose track, but I don't care anyway. Stay safe..... Jim

Yesterday was great. No snow at our friends place.
Got home about midnight with clear skies, no close encounters with Bambies.:)
About 10am this morning the crap came, rain, freezing rain, sleet.
Tomorrow is supposed to be better.
Think I will be scraping ice off the walks later.:(

Last Weekend of 2025. Just four day's left in 2025. Hard to believe that 2026 is just around the corner. Must be a sign of starting to get old. Remember that you are only as old as you feel. Ha Ha.

Currently overcast sky at 43°F. Maybe get a little rain shower late tonight. No Snow on the ground here in Indiana.

Today's high should be 50°F with clouds. Low at 46°F.

Sunday's high at 68°F with some clouds. Low of 18°F. Yes, that's what I am hearing!

I really don't want that temperature. Oh well, thankful for what I receive.
I cannot change what may happen here in Indiana.

Everyone try to enjoy the Time and Stay Healthy. Life is good for me.
Till Next Time Spyder Friends. (y)

73° or so today and sunny. We went for a ride this am to get coffee and a donut, about 30-40 miles one way. Then return down the A1A beach side. Nice ride. Trying to think what we might do New Years Day. Looking in the 60S

Well here in Vermont, this morning was quite cold to start the day, with most locations in the single digits on either side of the zero-degree mark. Through the coming day, we'll see increasing cloud cover as the highs climb back in the mid to upper 20's.

As for tonight, the temps won't lose much ground and may even begin to rise during the early morning hours on Monday. Our next system will also begin to arrive tonight. It will start primarily as freezing rain, before transitioning to rain for everyone by Monday afternoon. Right now, most areas are looking at about 0.10" to 0.33" of ice. This isn't enough for wide spread power outages, but a few isolated outages are possible. While it's not a large amount of ice, it will likely be enough to make the roadways slick for the Monday morning commute (I am not going anywhere!)

As warmer air arrives late Monday morning into Monday afternoon, precipitation will change over to plain rain. Colder air moves in Monday evening, leading into a transition back to snow to wrap up the system. For most areas, this will result in a coating up to one or two inches of snow.

Snow showers will continue Tuesday, along with blustery conditions. An inch or so of accumulation is possible, especially in the mountains. Highs will be mainly in the teens, with lows in the single digits to low teens. Dec. 2025 will wrap up with scattered snow showers on Wednesday. Highs then will be in the 20's, with lows in the single digits.

The first few days of Jan. 2026 will keep the cold pattern we've seen for much of Dec. A few flurries are possible on New Years Day, otherwise, it will be fair but cold from Thursday on through Sat, with highs mainly in the teens and lows in the single digits above zero.

The current temp is 22 degrees. They have issued a winter weather advisory in my area.

Stay safe everyone! Happy New Year for 2026!

Stay Healthy everyone!

(I hope Santa brought a lot of farkles to everyone for their Spyders!)

Ma Nature is in a BAD Mood.
Saturday had 10cm of crust on top of the ice.
Shoveled that off, put salt down and that didn't do anything.:(
Sunday rain, that and salt helped to loosen some of the ice.
Go out with the ice chopper and clean what I could. Go back inside and dry off, let the rain loosen so more. "REPEAT"
Over 20mm of rain.
Monday morning woke up to 5cm of snow, shovel that off.
Half an hour later a squall came in and dumped about 10 cm of the white stuff.
More on the way.
Oh well nothing on TV anyway.
Who needs a Gym membership.:D

Man! She must be really pissed.
In the last five hours, we got another 20 to 25cm (8" to 10") of snow.
Fluffy, light, stuff, easy to shovel. Just did the walks.
Plows haven't been by yet (that will be fun!)
Sledders might be happy; me, I want an early Spring. :p

Yea! Mother nature is really pissed.

We had sleet, freezing rain, and rain here in Vermont. They closed some of the DMV and state offices today due to the weather. We had an ice storm and the temps are dropping now. The roads were a sheet of ice. The current temp is 32 degrees. Earlier today, there were at least 6,300 people who were left in the dark due to power outages. By Monday evening, only a few hundred people are without power. But over in New Hampshire, there are still thousands left in the dark. By 9:30 A.M EST on Monday, 13,000 were without power across the Granite State. The crews are working to get the power back on.

Now we are having some colder air barreling back in this evening with strong Westerly winds too. Temps will fall below freezing and into the 20's this evening. Any roads or driveways that are still wet will re-freeze, along with any puddles or standing water.

So by Tuesday morning, temps will range from single digits into the teens, but it will feel colder thanks to some stiff Westerly winds. On Tuesday, the day will start with widespread sub-zero wind chill temps ranging from the single digits into the teens below zero. Temps will struggle to warm up throughout the day, with ongoing sub-zero wind chill temps into the afternoon. We might gain a degree or two through midday, but the actual temps will generally stay in the low to mid teens throughout the afternoon.

It will be blustery area wide on Tuesday, with widespread gusts between 25 and 35 mph. Winds will trend lighter by Wednesday morning.

The last of 2025 will still be on the cooler side, with single digit temps in the morning and low to mid teens in the afternoon, but there won't be as much wind chill. Most of Wednesday is looking dry, but widespread snow showers return during the evening. Snow doesn't look too heavy, but there could be a coating of snow on the roads going to and coming from New Year's Eve celebrations.

Snow totals between Tuesday evening and Thursday morning should be between a coating to 3" for most, with locally higher totals in parts of the North East Kingdom, Adirondacks, and the Green Mountains. Several of the mountains could get another 6" to 12" of fresh snow.

We might see some sunshine on New Year's Day, but it will still be chilly with single digits lows, and highs in the low to mid teens. Cooler temps stick around into Friday and the weekend, but the weather looks quiet, aside from the chance for a few flurries on Friday or Saturday.

Then next week, we will have widespread light snow.
Happy New Year!

(Yes, us sledders are happy!)

Monday was a little chilly, wind chill was making it feel like 10°F. I was having some problems with my internet connection on Monday.

I have lite dusting of snow on the ground.

Tuesday morning and it is overcast sky at 14°F with the wind chill it's 1°F. The wind has been somewhat difficult. I have about 20 tree branches on the ground. You know the 'finger size' that break off during wind storms.

High today of only 25°F with clouds.
Low at 22°F. Maybe get some snow showers later today.

You people in the 'No Electricity' Area.
Please go to a Warm and safe place.
Here in my local area of Indiana I still have Electricity. I am very thankful for the comfort.

Have a Blessed Day and be Healthy. (y)

Partly sunny (mostly cloudy) here in the desert today. The high will be 74 degrees. It's a bit breezy with wind at 6 MPH and gusts to 18. Humidity currently is 23%. The next couple of days will be cooler, and wet. Rain is expected to start late evening on New Years Eve and continue for New Years day. Stay safe..... Jim

The current temp here in Vermont is 8 degrees.

Some of the roads here were slick in some spots as any standing water had the opportunity to freeze overnight, along with a few light snow showers last night and into this morning, especially in the mountains

Today, we've had a few light snow showers from time to time, particularly near the mountains. Accumulations should be minimal for most of the locations, but the higher elevations could pick up anywhere from an additional 1-2 " inches of new snow. The temps remain cool, with most areas struck in the teens throughout the afternoon. Add breezy Westerly winds, and the wind chill temp will stay in the single digits on either side of zero all day.

As for tomorrow (Wednesday) the winds will be lighter in the morning. The last day of 2025 will be on the cooler side, with single digits temps in the morning and in the low to mid teens in the afternoon, but the wind chill temps won't be as much as of a factor. Most of Wednesday will be dry, but wide spread snow showers return during the evening. Snow does not appear likely to be heavy, but be prepared for a possible a coating on roadways if you are traveling to and from New Year's Eve celebrations.

Snow totals from Tuesday evening through Thursday morning should range from a coating to around 3" inches for most areas, with locally higher amounts in the mountains around the North East Kingdom, New York, and on some of the mountains in Vermont. Some of the mountains in Vermont could see any where from 6 to 12 inches of fresh snow.

We will see sunshine on New Year's Day, but it will remain chilly, with single-digit lows and highs in the low to mid teens. Cooler temps stick around into Friday and the weekend, though the weather looks fairly quiet aside from a chance of a few flurries Friday or Saturday. Widespread light snow is possible by next Monday.

The road and power company crews are making progress on the roads and getting power back on.

I have power, I am OK.
