Yes, this is July 1st 2026. Summer is now in full swing and the heat is on.
Along with some high humidity in my
State of Indiana. My grandfather always said 'humidity is what makes the corn and beans grow'.

Still Praying for people in areas of the USA dealing with fires. I am hearing that the fires are getting worse. Please support our firefighters if you are able.

Currently mostly clear sky at 78°F this morning. The humidity is already at 89%. So it feels extremely wet outside.
I thought that yesterday's heat was bad but today's numbers are not very friendly. Here in Indiana we have a heat advisory till Friday.

Today's high at 95°F with lots of sunshine.
Low of 74°F and sunny 🌞
Remember to Stay Hydrated and take breaks from the heat.

No Rain here till Saturday.
Be careful about having a fire.
Fireworks should be used with extra
caution. Please don't make any mistakes or risks that may cause you to have a Fire.

Till Next Time my Spyder Forum Friends. Enjoy your Life and Stay Healthy. (y)

Happy July from Anacortes. This little corner of the U.S. is cool and cloudy. Currently 56 degrees, Humidity at 87%, 8-10 MPH breeze. Not much chance of measurable rain today, just cloudy with a high of 64. Tomorrow looks like a colder and very wet day. Starting Thursday, we'll dry out and see a lot of sunshine....... Yeah! Topless weather at last!!! Stay safe..... Jim

Well yesterday's sunshine was nice but still a little bit too hot. With the heat index at 105°F. Seems that the older I get the more things bother me. That's the way it goes for me. Wow, done with that stuff.

Now on to better weather news from Indiana. Currently clear sky and 74°F. I hope to get a little Spyder Ryde Time today. We could use some more rain.
But nothing is scheduled for today (5%).

Today's high at94°F with sunshine 🌞.
Low of 74°F and sunny.
Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life.

Anacortes, WA is experiencing the predicted showers today. Actually, it's a very light rain that is just enough to keep everything wet. Very light breeze and complete cloud cover. Humidity is 83 %, temperature is 60 degrees, and the overnight low will only get down to 56. The rain is expected to end late tonight, around midnight. Had a nice big bowl of hot clam chowder for lunch. Seemed to fit with my mood and today's weather. Stay safe..... Jim

Hot and dry, teasing us with around 100°F for the next two weeks. No rain in the forecast over that period. Not many clouds expected either.

Summer's here. Time to ride in the mountains, it'll be at least 20°F cooler up there.

This is day # 2 of the heat wave we have going on here in Vermont. Last night we had severe thunderstorms. We had High winds, torrential downpours, and the heat wave has brought us the hottest weather we've seen in Vermont and the Northern County since August 12 last year.

After the high temps yesterday, in the upper 80's and low 90's, today's heat brought temps well into the mid to upper 90's across the region.

The intensity of the heat was just enough to bring high temps today within range of some daily highest temp records.

Most locations got with in one or two degrees of their highest temps record.

Another day of 90 degrees heat is expected tomorrow, which would put us in an official heat wave. Fortunately, the excessive heat doesn't look to last into the holiday weekend.

The current temp is 91 degrees.

Several of the towns have cooling centers open if people need to use them. Several of the electric companies have asked people to reduce their usage of electric appliances like dishwashers, charging cars (EV's), dryers, and other appliances so that they they can protect the power grid.

So, while you're hot and dry over there, here in this part of South Oz, we've been bloody cold, freakin' wet, and just about blown away by the winds! And on Wednesday night/Thursday morning, the Hills area apparently had over 50k lightning strikes!

Mind you, it is Winter here, but I'm told we had over 90mm of rain here in the 24 hours up to last night, which is about a half as much again as all of our normal monthly average for July, all in just 24 hours; and on top of that, the local daytime temps barely made it up to 4°C, while the average monthly range here for July days is 5°-13°C!!

That said, I reckon the thing that's been the most difficult to put up with has been the freezing wind!! The average Wind speed for July here is about 25 kph, but over the last couple of days it's been about 65 kph, so the wind chill has contributed to our 'Feels like' temps of -4°C, or about 25°F. 😨

We haven't experienced any actual flooding here, but all the creeks, the wetlands, and the nearby river have been raging torrents running absolute bankers (still are!) and those areas prone to flooding have been swimming. However, I have had to go out in the rain and wind a few times over the last couple of days to clear out drains and get the stormwater flowing again - it doesn't take long for all the storm wrack and trash to collect in any racks or grates and start reducing the stormwater drain's efficiency! 😣

I did go for a ride in the rain on Wednesday morning (a short ride, only about 80 k's! But in my defense, it was pretty cold, even fully geared up!!) but not yesterday, and looking outside this morning, I think I'm gonna give it a miss today too, at least for now! We'll see what the rest of the day brings. Our weather atm is coming from the West, where I can see a heap of towering black (almost purple/black) clouds looming and heading this way over the top of the range pretty fast; but looking East, the clouds out that way seem to be breaking up and blowing away fairly quickly, so maybe we'll see a bit of sunshine between storm fronts?!

So y'all stay cool, and I'll try to stay warm and dry! ;)

First Friday of July 2026. Actually made it through another week so to
Speak. (Part June and part July).
The Heat is on since last Sunday '100+ heat index'. I am so thankful for modern day AC.

Supposed to be starting to drop off some degrees moving forward.
Boy I sure hope so on that. Now the Weather News People are saying that
this hot spell is World wide.
Something to do with icebergs melting. I will just enjoy myself and my AC. I love the summer morning 'wind therapy time'.

Current temperature is 71°F.
Today's high of 93°F with sunshine.
Possible chance of rain showers this evening and into tomorrow morning.
Low at 71°F.

Have a Blessed Day and enjoy your Spyder Ryde Times.

I'm not sure when the rain ended last night. In Anacortes, it sprinkled from about 11 AM until I went to bed. This morning everything is real wet with 93% humidity. (Welcome to the Pacific North Wet). No rain falling today and there is none in the forecast, but it'll be cloudy most of the day with a few afternoon sun breaks. Currently it's 55 degrees and the wind is calm. High today will be 65. There's a medium-size 4 point buck grazing in the yard this morning. The LL says he's pretty much taken up residency in the neighborhood. I've seen lots of deer around. They wander around town like stray dogs. They just keep to themselves and ignore people. Come October, they'll make themselves scares. Stay safe..... Jim
