• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Flat trunk key

How close to the key socket does the chip have to be in order to start the Spyder. i.e., Can I leave a blank key in the ignition with my chip key in my pocket?

From what I have read and Bob has tested it the maximum range for the key is maybe an inch. The antenna is wrapped around the ignition key switch.

I tried it and found that it had to touch the key or switch metal to work, not an inch or 1/2 in,Must touch. I too was hoping I could get a IPS and keep my chipped key on my ring and leave a flat key in the IPS ,but it won't work

If you have the blank key, most locksmiths can cut it for you. There is a address on here somewhere to order blanks. I guess it is not a common blank. I would make sure I had at least one chipped key besides the one used to cut the new key. Just in case of a problem with getting the new key cut.
