Your Weather News @ December Edition 2025

The weekend has arrived and we will have 5"-8" of new snow by Sunday. Already received about 3" of snow. Currently, we have a cloudy sky at 28°F. Today's snow is scheduled for 9am to 6pm.
I am always amazed how they can get these time things.

High today of 29°F with snow.
Low at -4°F - now that is definitely 'bone chill' temperature.
Kind of off and on snow.

Sunday is just plain terrible for us.
High at 6°F - Low of -5°F.
Hopefully everyone's heating systems are in top working condition.
Just had my check out last week.

Check on friends and family to make sure they are saying safe. Have a Great Weekend 👍.

That looks like a real mess. Is something like this normal?

Here in Indiana that could be a Spring
event. I hope you are safe and staying warm. (y)

Here in East Texas the weather is best described as "unsettled". We have sun and 70°F today. Dropping to 28° Sunday night and back to 70° by Wednesday. If a front comes in from Canada, the air is dry and cold; if it comes up from the Gulf, it is wet and warm; in between, it is just foggy!

Monday morning weather and we are experiencing some serious cold temperatures in Indiana. Currently cloudy sky at -2°F. NO extra snow overnight.

The heating system for the house is working well. Hopefully everyone else is doing okay. The city snow plowing has been good. Most people are saying driving conditions are doable for the Mondays Rush Hour.

High today of only 24°F.
Low at 17°F.
Going to be a mostly cloudy day here.
Be careful about driving conditions.
Have a Blessed Day. (y).

Monday 12/15/2025 cold at 17 degrees. Supposed to warm up to the freezing point. Clear skies with only a bit of wind. Winter is showing up here in Northern Alabama.

Same ol' weather here in the desert. Currently: 75 degrees, 3 MPH breeze, humidity at 24%, clear blue sky. The high today is expected to break the record for this date and get to 81 degrees. Overnight low will get down to 51 degrees. The extended forecast shows no clouds, no rain, and 75 degrees or better each day. Winter life in the desert is good. Stay safe..... Jim

Well, here in Vermont we had cold weather, the current temp is 15 degrees. Most locations began in the single digits on either side of zero. Temps were stuck in the teens and lower 20's for most. A bit of NorthWest breeze kept the wind chill in the single digits through the entirety of the day.

Clouds stuck around for most of the day today. There are a few light snow showers possible along the Western slope of Northern Vermont, but with little accumulation expected. A few clouds linger tonight as the lows dip back into the single digits and teens once again.

We should see a few breaks of sunshine heading into Tuesday. Tuesday morning features more sunshine, followed by increasing clouds during the afternoon and evening. Highs will be a bit warmer, with most areas climbing back into the mid to upper 20's by tomorrow afternoon.

We trade the 20's for 30's, 40's, and even some 50's later this week. Thursday now looks dry, but a more significant system will impact the area overnight Thursday and on into Friday. As of now, rain is likely Thursday night into Friday morning, with brief downpours possible. This will no doubt melt some of the snow pack, but flooding is not anticipated at this time.

Morning rain on Friday will change to afternoon snow showers as the cold front moves through. Early highs in the 40's will fall through the 30's during the afternoon. It will be windy, with gusts up to 30mph possible, but damaging winds are not expected.

Following the cold front, cooler weather will return for next weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid to upper 20's with mainly cloudy skies. We'll warm up a bit on Sunday, with highs in the 30's, though that comes with a chance for a few rain and snow showers.

The snowmobile trails are opening up here in Vermont. I hope we have a great snowmobile season.

Happy Holidays to Everyone! Stay safe and healthy!

I hope Santa brings a lot of Spyder Farkles!

Today is going to be the start of the warm up process for the next few days. No new snow here till next week. Maybe we'll get some rain though.

Currently mostly cloudy sky and 18°F.
Most of my roads are safe.
My driveway has been somewhat difficult to find. Eight inches of snow made it very difficult to clean off.
My neighbors are in Arizona.

Today's high at 37°F with sunshine.
Low of 33°F. That's up from -2°F.
Yes, I know that December 21st is the
First Day of Winter here in Indiana.
Hard to believe that's what happens.

Everything is going well here.
Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life.

Well, the 22nd I'll say, we are heading out of winter as the days are getting longer... looks like a warm up all around!

It's certainly warming up here in Oz - but our Summer supposedly started 1 Dec, altho today is going to be the first 'hot' day of this Summer - we're expecting 35°C, light winds, Extreme UV, Extreme Fire Danger; and tomorrow, we're heading for 38-40°C, with stronger winds, and even worse Fire Danger. :cautious:

While it should be a little milder over the Christmas/New Year week, already there's parts of the Country burning; one veteran Fire-fighter has been killed on duty; dozens of houses have been burnt; and there's been extensive stock, property, and infrastructure losses from Tasmania to Queensland, the Far West of the Country to the East Coast! All the signs are here for this one being a pretty bad fire season, and everywhere you look &/or listen, the Warnings are appearing regularly - Prepare your property; update your Fire Safety Plan; listen for the Warnings and Updates; Leave Early if you can; and the list goes on...

Well, here in Vermont, we will be experiencing quite a break from our cold and snowy pattern. Mild temps, windy conditions, and even rain fall will lead to a big thaw. This thaw could lead to some impacts such as minor river flooding and even a risk of a flash freeze as temps come tumbling down after the rain/thaw. Cold and snow lovers fret not, the cold returns in the weekend.

Tonight, the temps will not be as cold as they have been, with lows in the mid to upper 20's with winds gusting up to 30 mph and mostly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and cool. Highs will be in the upper 30's and even low 40's are possible in the some parts of the State. There is a risk of a few snow/rain or even mixed showers tomorrow during the afternoon and evening. Wind conditions will be breezy with gusts up to 30 mph.

Thursday will be a cold morning with temps in the 20's before warming up, with Southerly winds gusting up to 40 mph. Highs temps will reach into the mid 40's. Expect partly sunny skies.

Now Friday is a different story. Rain will begin in the early morning and that's also when we'll see our warmest temps for the day. Temps in the 50's around 7 am (EST) with moderate rain fall. Then during the afternoon, temps will already be dropping into the mid 30's with things transitioning back to snow in the mountains by Noon (EST)and in the valleys by late evening. Temps by late Friday night will be in the upper 10's. This will be a big-time cool down. Friday's conditions will bring the risk of a flash freeze due to the colder conditions moving in right after rainfall, altho right now, the concern is still relatively low. But they are keeping an eye on this.

Saturday will be much quieter. Morning temps in the mid 10's, afternoon highs in the low 30's, dropping to upper 20's. There'll be a chance of snow showers, especially in the Northern part of Vermont. Partly sunny skies in the first half of the day, with mostly cloudy skies by the second half.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, with a chance of snow showers, mainly in the Northern parts of Vermont. Temps will be in the upper 20's and mid 30's.

Well this is Wednesday morning!
The temperatures are starting to climb a little bit. We call this the 'False Spring'. Only thing that this is good for is a terrible flu season.

Currently cloudy sky at 40°F. The snow is melting away. That's a good thing. This weather season can change very quickly. So be prepared for anything.

High today of 44°F with clouds.
Low at 36°F.

Be Healthy and Enjoy your Day.
Till Next Time. (y)

Currently in the desert; 68°, wind calm, humidity at 31%, no clouds. The high today will be 76° and the overnight low will be 48°. Our community golf course, club house, and restaurant are all crowded with seasonal people who have escaped from the winter weather being experienced "back home". Stay safe..... Jim

Gotta Love it. About the Snow Birds.
Sometimes it is a welcome change.
Currently mostly cloudy sky and 46°F.
That was the high for yesterday.
Calling for a lot of rain today.

Right!! Like I said "good ole Indiana flu season". Stay Healthy and Keep Warm.

One week till Christmas. I am ready are you?

Very windy this morning due to all the cold temperatures coming back. Yesterday's little bit of sunshine and lots of rain made all the snow disappear. Now this morning we have a fresh bit of snow. Maybe we'll get some more tonight.

Currently cloudy sky and 20°F. We received about an inch of rain yesterday. They are saying that the roads are going to be a little bit wet and possibly some black ice.

High today of only 22°F with mostly cloudy sky. Low at 20° and windy.

Everything is good here.
Till Next Time. (y)

Getting ready to dust off my old blue pony, put the top down, and head for the Friday car show. Currently; 70 degrees, no clouds, no wind, humidity at 32%. The high today will be a comfortable 78 degrees. We will be warming up a bit for the next few days, into the low 80s. Perfect desert, winter weather. Stay safe..... Jim

Low at 20°F with clouds.
Can you believe it, now the Weather News People are saying 60°F for Christmas here in Indiana.
Just 5 more days till Christmas.

Sunday's high is 36°F with sunshine.
Low at 20°F.

Have yourself a great time and stay Healthy. Good to go here.

80 degrees and sunny today here in the desert. Yesterday's car show was a highly charged social event. Lots of raffle prizes and Santa hats. There were well over 400 vehicles. Everything from an Army Deuce and a Half, with matching trailer, to nice people on little Honda scooters. Late this afternoon, I'm going to an informal gathering of car guys at a local burger joint. Unfortunately (for my waist line), there is also an ice cream shop that serves homemade ice cream. Stay safe..... Jim

Well, here in Vermont, the temps were in the 40's and 50's yesterday (the snowmobile trails are currently closed due no snow). We had some very high winds. One of the mountains reported a 108 mph wind gust. As of yesterday at 12:00 Noon (EST) there were about 22,000 people without power, mainly in the Northern part of Vermont. I am OK, and I have power.

Also, on the top of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, they had wind gusts of 118 mph as of Friday morning. Since then, the wind has calmed down, it is much quieter today. We had some sunshine here in the morning, but is is cloudy. The temps are in the upper 20's and low 30's. It is definitely cooler than the mild temps we had on Friday.

Tonight, colder conditions will return tonight ahead of a clipper, but damaging winds aren't expected at this time. Wind gusts as high as 40 mph are possible. The clipper and cold front will bring scattered snow showers on Sunday, which is the first day of winter. Only a trace to maybe 2 inches of accumulation can be expected. It will be breezy with highs in the low to mid 30's, dropping off during the afternoon. Lows will be in the teens.

The active weather will continue during the week. Just some flurries are expected on Monday. Another clipper will pass through Tuesday with light snow. Another inch or so accumulation is possible, which will guarantee a White Christmas. Christmas Eve will be dry, then some snow showers are possible on Christmas Day. Highs both days will be relatively pleasant in the low 30s. The next storm system could bring a messy mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain on Friday.

The current temp is 26 degrees and cloudy.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
